  1. I was just illustrating that headache racks and service trucks and 4Xs are seen all the time will rear facing utility lights/backup lights. As long as you don't abuse/use on public roadways..........can't imagine anyone giving you a hassle. Mine will be drop-down/hidden under the bed........can't wait to get to the fun stuff.

  5. AX15 are available NEW, if you are serious, I would recommend NEW. I'll be doing this swap myself in the next year, look to Novak and Advance Adapters for specific info.
  6. Watch this vid. Go to comments, see my question regarding the AX15, see Jonathan's response. When you watch the vid you will see the AX15 in action and you will see the adapter. He puts the AX15 behind 450-550hp. This particular FJ is diesel.

You've got a very ambitious project for a full time college student part-time employment Every thread I've read where guys have cheaped out why not paying for it later I would not trust an Sye $ 170 and you still have to buy a drive shaft I think it's Minkey boy who has the 2.5 on 35s which is supercharged I would contact him and see exactly how much money he's invested in his and if he's honest with you several thousands of dollars probably a lot more than you can imagine I'm sure you're going to want to run at least 35 if you are a six and a half inch your 2.5 is not going to be happy with you even if you regear to 488 It's none of my business it's your project just hate to see you get deep into this and not be able to finish

  14. Go to Tom Woods site, look at SYEs and DS. Unless you are going to hack something together.........cost for SYE will likely run you over $1000. You will need a new front DS.........another $350. I would not bother with the 242......but that's me.........you are in FL, no need nor use for the 242. Pick up a good 231 for $150 and be done with it. Not to mention you'll have to set up your rear for the cardan joint. And, there is no reason for any of it. Besides, you still have the 4 banger in front of all this..........all the more reason to keep it simple.

  21. The plan was for me to do all the bodywork and priming, and to paint the door jambs, body shop to spray the entire truck. That plan has changed, yeah, I want to paint it myself here at home. I'll just have to get some 6mil plastic and build a tent under my deck.

  24. Correct. I suspect the idiot light senders go off around 230, way too late for an Efan to be effective. If you want to run below 210, your fan needs to come on around 195.
