  1. Cinema sins............scrolled through, I think I've only seen about 4 of those movies. Fight Club..........epic!
  2. I've completely forgot about it.............and have since moved on. There is simply no interest.
  3. Ospho, soak, let set overnight, rinse, THEN...................choose your poison. Ospho or similar will convert rust, not just choke it out.
  4. It's not a MT spring, it's a MW spring. I'm not going to bother measuring..........from axle to frame..........from ground to flare.............from center of axle to flare...........whatever............. You'll be about 4.5" above your worn spring. The Military Wrap increased my height 1.25" over GS's standard spring. I'm using a JKS shackle.
  5. I want one. New garage first though.............cart before horse. I bet it's nice that it can be pushed out of the way.........IOWs it does not consume your entire garage.
  6. Is it yours? Who makes it?
  7. That's an interesting lift.
  8. You're a little critical here. You will want to paint those yourself. Those have been dropped, slid, thrown, bounced........... As for the pin, it's not designed to keep the pack tight, your ubolts will do that. As I understand it, those where custom made just for you in Nebraska, one of two US spring manufactures. They are good, you'll like them, worth the wait.........we all waited a few weeks, some longer than others. Put those on, see how you like the ride and the height. You'll be happy.
  9. Interesting, your statement here, I was told the same thing by Joe, I then got into somewhat of a pissing match here as to what exactly is a MT spring.
  10. The purists, plenty here, plenty everywhere. I interacted with someone from Novak last week who stated that the biggest hurdle they have is selling their product to a group of purists.
  11. A trailer was stolen from me. Insurance sent me a check, I ordered a new trailer. I tried to convince the manufacture to build me a custom tongue, they would not do it. You are a fabricator, you build yourself one. Consider a reverse receiver, whereas the tongue slides into a collar and is then pin locked under the trailer, you could use several locks if you wanted. You can weld a plate to the end of the receiver draw bar so the bar cannot be pulled out of the receiver tube as a safety feature. Or, a removable reverse receiver tongue, those are common, they are done. Take the tongue with you. Would I ever leave a trailer in a hotel parking lot? Never.

  17. I would love to be a scout for this guy. I contacted his office one with a car I thought he might be interested in, I still keep an eye out.
  18. I'll leave you with this thought- I married Chryco with Renix, I'm the only one to do it as far as I know with the 2.5. Again, -IMO-, the MPI intake is perfect for the 2.5, great flow, uniform runners, longer runners. You'll want air/fuel to mix at the plenum, not at the intake port. If you are going to turbo/supercharge look to mega-squirt and use the MPI intake. You'll have to plug the injector holes.
  19. http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1144729 Go here...........MPI............nothing but complaints there too.
  20. The ecotech is a transverse engine, the engine mounts would be the easiest part of the swap. What did you plan for a transmission? 2x or 4x? Where's the starter? What did you plan for the adapters? can you make your own? If you plan a turbo on the 2.5, are you going to make your own exhaust manifold? Where are you going to place the turbo? How do you plan on plumbing exhaust? Intercooler? How are you going to evacuate heat? How will you control timing? Are you starting with a new 2.5? (My opinion)- 2.5 clap-out by 100K miles, look to rebuild first. I've yet to see, I won't do it, but your best bet would be a centrifugal supercharger. I know it's not a matter of -bang for buck- with you, however, there is nothing worse than putting a ton of effort into something and then realize it's for not. If you can control fuel and spark............centrifugal, expensive. Anything else with the 2.5/4.0 is a waste of time, IMO.
  21. ACOS in the front will take you from 3 to 4.5 precisely.
  22. I like my little 22" bar, stays out of the way, it's very useful on dark windy mountain roads. The cubes are getting replaced with something useful though...........PIAA more than likely.
