Is mine considered highly or lightly modified?

I had to dive deep into the bowels of photosucket to retrieve these- I completely forgot, you cannot convert a strap yoke to a ubolt yoke, there is not enough meat on the backside, the threads of the ubolt run through. I used spare front shaft bolts and retained the straps, lots of tedious grinding. A groove gets worn into the yoke at the seal, all the polishing you want and it will still leak, for the $45 to my door...........never bother again. Yeah, sometimes you just throw parts at it-

EZ out is the only thing I can tell you. I've done the Ubolt on a strap yoke...........absolute PITA, don't bother. Find a replacement.

Apparently there is grease just for cables and it's pretty cheap. NAPA will probably have it.

It's been better than 5 years ago............ Seems like it was some lithium paste for cables.............IIRC.

When I replaced my cable I pulled the entire cable out of the sheath and greased it.

BTW, I'd much rather see a clean solid stock truck/car that some hacked up POS. Don't let them look down their noses at you.

May I suggest you study and choose parts wisely. The reason I titled my build thread 'Evolution 88' is just that, it's been a constant evolution of changes. Consider individual parts over 'kits'. And remember, one change always leads to another.

They haven't really given me a problem, and they are swarming now. Stink bugs, lady bugs, wasps, bees.........all looking to hibernate. Just primer that will get wet sanded, body shop will do the paint.
