We do? My manche's @$$ sits higher than the front. ehh i guess it's hard to tell...

I don't remeber doing that in church... Times have changed.

The beauty of aluminum is that you can move it around yourself. I felt like the incredible hulk when I lifted that damn thing into my bed Dimensions of mine: 60" x 20" x 13.5" (deep). I got it used for $50. One latch doesnt work but it locks with a master lock. I've even mounted my CB antenna on it. :brows: I love the darn thing

[drool] gosh darn i love ribs. But I have to say I think I like crock potted baby backs the best  oh and beer + ribs = a slice of heaven  [/drool]

Just make sure it's black diamond plate: 8)

How do you test relays with a multimeter to see if their working properly? It's been awhile and i've forgotten...
-
I ditched mine awhile back and my truck's always started fine(even in the winter here - where it gets below zero at night) If you do live in a cold climate you should allow the truck plenty of time to warm up, the more time the merrier.

ditto. mine's out of a 98 explorer and it's got all the nice bells n whistles (LSD - which i hear is crap and disk brakes) I think besides the strength this axle provides, the disk brakes in the rear really help you stop on a dime. Infact, my mj stops better now with 35's and disks all the way round than it did on stock tires with drums in the rear. :brows:

I realize it's not an MJ, but in an effort to keep all videos in one post: Here's my old 95 XJ (green), buddies 89 XJ (white), and roommates 88 4 runner @ hollister: http://www.flyingfishsoft.com/rob/HOLLISTER.wmv Footage another buddy took at Glamis (some cool shiet): http://www.flyingfishsoft.com/rob/glamis_0002.wmv Right click, save as. You know the drill. Oh and my roommate edited them, not I.

I'm rebelious. Possum I like the color of your truck

[hijack] whats that stand for? [/hijack]

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind having the plow set up either, but: I've heard that XJs are terrible for plowing...and I assume that MJ's are even worse because they are fairly light in the rear. I suppose you could put a whole bunch of stuff in the rear if you wanted..?

Got mine Pete! Expect pictures soon :chillin:

I wish I read this BEFORE I threw the new one in: http://www.floridajeepers.net/viewtopic.php?t=20947

Thanks everyone! Roommate and I got it done pretty quick actually. I went out and spent about $40 on extensions and was finally able to reach it. Those of you who guessed 7/16"s win! Is that 11mm? I dunno. Oh and I came close to dropping the freaking bolts into tranny about 3 times (I actually didn't think it'd fit in there... ) Anyway, the Jeep is running @#$%ing awesome now! Before, at WOT it was alittle sluggish, and never actually felt 'wide open'. Now the truck hauls @$$! And it's rollin on 35's... I also went ahead and sleeved the CPS wire with some heat shield from NAPA to avoid what happened to this one (i'll get pics tomorrow). Thanks again guys :chillin:

My truck was running funny again (idle jumping around and when i stepped on the gas it went crazy then fizzled out and died). Inspected the CPS wiring and it is toast. Tested the CPS and there's resistance from the dang thing. So i've got a new one sitting right here waiting to be installed but I can't for the life of me get a wrench on the 2 bolts holding the old one in! What size are the bolts? What'd the best way to remove it and install it? I really don't feel like taking the intake and head off again if i don't have too..... Anyone done this before?

Or I like the first one better. They both have vacuum diagrams though.

JUST FOR LOOKS?! Pete.. come on.... Stickers are just for looks  Speaking of looks, what's your CB mounted to? Some sort of shelf? Yea I run every accessory on their own power line, which is cluttering my engine compartment quickly. Some day i'd like to build some sort of power distribution center mounted on the fire wall or something where I can 'plug' in accessorier easily. Way easier than trying to squish em all on my battery terminal.... The long ones get better reception but it seems like a bietch driving around town unless you rig it down like you've done, which I think kinda looks goofy...Maybe it's an aquired taste? How much/where did ya get it? having a spring sounds like a good idea.

Like what? Carb cleaner? (I might be doing this soon...)

In the past i've wired my cb's up 2 different ways - both with major engine interferance: hard wired to the battery with an inline fuse and switch (probably not the smartest), and via the cigarette lighter. I ended up wiring in a 'filter' from radio shack when it was powered via the cigarette lighter and still had pretty bad interferance. If it makes a difference, both these instances were in an XJ, not the MJ, where my CB is now. The antenna used was a short (probably foot and a half) magnetic mounted on top of the roof, towards the rear-passenger side). What's the best way to do it? What have you guys done to combat engine noise over your cb? I want to be able to use it while the truck is completly off, just like every other accesory i've got so far (i think it's convient :brows: ) 8) Oh and I need an antenna too, any recommendations? It'd be nice to NOT be a magnetic mount and instead mount to the side of the bed or something similar... Let's see those CB set ups! Here's mine mounted so far:

I was gonna rotate the tires but instead I did some interior work: First I finally mounted my CB (still needs to be wired): It was easier to just removed the whole lower panel and attach the bracket: Held on the back by some huge fender washers (I think they'll hold... ): I've got a question about hard wiring the CB in the tech section. And I also finally found a good sold mount for my switch box (old mounting system - very tech): Ditched the box and instead used this heater distribution box ding~a~ling (My heater is FUBAR): Mounted (the beauty of the whole thing is that the wires come in through the side vents, and it looks really clean): The $$$ shot: I ended up actually running a ground wire and distributing it to all the switches, grounding them (so now it's easy to add accesories to the 2 empty switches). And as far as interior heat goes this winter, I think i'm gonna buy one of those 9v portable units, and hard wire it in. Bundling up is getting old... As always here's my truck's main page: http://www.amt.org/scott/mj.html

DO it! oh and you started a new thread...?

It's easy to build a splash gaurd for your alt and things out of sheet metal. I started with a cardboard template and then cut it out of the sheet. (measure once and cut twice? Or is that backwards ;) ) Super easy to take off too (perfect for lazy jeep owners, like me) Although I have to admit I don't run it any more, I just avoid mud for the most part. :chillin:

I love the west coast :chillin:
