Sand is the enemy....

lol, I've done it a few times (after replacing cv shafts on the v-dubs, and even on the 3800 and my bro's truck etc.) and had great success. its fairly straightforward to do. tho I'm not gonna explain it right now I've tried aligning my hunk of junk and I think I just made it worse. I don't mind paying somebody to keep me from flying around the road!

That tie rod looks huge! The only problem I see with that kit is that you still are using the stock TRE's. Then again, they are cheap enough to carry spares - but fixing one on a trail is a biiotch and a half. I'm running the beefy v8 ZJ set up and have no complaints (so far...) Everything was bigger, and bigger is usually better right? more pics: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... c&start=30

You may or may not have heard about this: http://cdfdata.fire.ca.gov/incidents/in ... ent_id=184 This fire has been declared a state of emergency in California. 2,700 acres, over 150 homes, and 40 other buildings have already burned. The fire is currently 40% contained right now. Thank goodness no one has been injured or lost a life yet! I've been busy for the past two days trying to keep my (rented) home standing. On the day of the fire (Sunday) winds were pushing towards my neighborhood which is right behind the local high school here in town. Between 2 and 4 am yesterday morning was the worst. Trees were literally exploding into massive fire balls about a mile away from our house (pretty awesome sight!) and the night sky was completley glowing a dark crimson red. Today is much better and i'm finally able to unpack the truck and turn off the sprinkler systems  I know a few people here in town who have lost everything and i'll be volunteering at the evacuation center to help them out. I suppose this isn't the worst tragedy to strike, but there was lots and lots of beautiful scenery and homes that burned to the ground in a matter of moments. Worst part about it is that a human being is responsible for starting the whole damn thing. Thanks for reading. I'll get some random pictures i was able to take while we were frantically running around.

Anyone here enjoy life in the bike lane? I actually enjoy bombing hills and trail rides more than anything. 8) Here's my second means of transportation: Let's see yours! Last summer my girlfriend's brother gave me his old GT Timberline (don't know the year) for free! Since then i've added a suspension fork, home brew chain tensioner, comfy @$$ seat, new handle bars, grips, front wheel set, and tire. I got most of the parts used and have only spent about $100 on the bike. I also enjoy modding kids bikes for a full size person to ride, and romping them until the wheels fall off (literally). I picked these two beauties up today for $6: The modding has already begun. I can see new pedals, tires, paint, and a new tube in their futures....

I don't know too much about it, but i'll be eliminating mine eventually. If you want i'll give you all the parts I end up ditching.

Congratulations! Party Hardy! I've been out for 3 years now and the best decision I made was to take time off from college and "discover" myself. When your 18, 19, 20, 21 - it's the best time to do so. Go travel. Take a road trip out west, or go to Europe/Asia?! Either way, enjoy your youth.

I hope i spelled that right. Anyway, my girlfriend and I are planning on packing up and heading up north, to oregon. This won't happen any sooner than a year from now. My mom lives in Eugene, granpa in Roseburg, and aunt in Coberg. My girlfriend has a brother in Portland also. We are still debating on where to live and right now it's completley in the air. I would like to attend an automotive/metal working trade school once I'm settled up there, so that will be one determining factor. Another is my girlfriend who would like to eventually become a preschool teacher. Other than that, being around bodies of water is great and offroad/hiking trails wouldn't hurt either ;) The woman won't allow the town to be too small, she still needs her suburban shopping experience. Yet I'm not much of a big city slicker. Any recommendations for two 21 year old's? I've been to oregon many times, but really have no clue as to where I would like to live. Maybe Hillsboro...Eugene...Corvallis? Any incite will help tremendously. Go Ducks!

Glad your back mate! Drink one down on me! Thanks for serving this wonderful country!
