 I thought you were dead... PHEW! When my rear end goes will you save me? Your one hell of a bro!

Wow sounds expensive. I'm surprized this thread is still going cause I haven't touched the truck since the ZJ came around. Maybe it's about time I do some work on that thing... I'll start by hunting down this gremlin.

What about V8 grand cherokee steering?! Easy to find parts, direct bolt on, and its much stronger than the stocker set up! Although IIRC it was a pretty penny. Almost as much as some of these after market set ups. Now that I think about it, I may just swap all this crap to the ZJ, and get a completely new set up for the MJ....Hmmm... :brows:

They go to your heater core. It's where you get your interior heat from. They are a bietch to replace yourself, and i've been denied by several radiator specialists to replace it. They all say it's more work then it's worth. Then again I live in the cold, and not having heat in the winter SUCKS. :headpop:

I can't. There isn't any nationwide website that offers discounts to students on any CAD software. Adobe and Microsoft are one thing. I think your best bet would be to find an engineering student (i'm just a community college low life) who knows the field better. I've even talked to my computer science teacher personally and he did not have a clue where you could get some discounted. Black market? Sorry Eagle, I really hope somebody can pull through for you.

its not that the c-clip is a weak point, but if you break a shaft with a c-clip axle the axle/tire will come out of the shaft and you're not even rolling anymore. with a non-clip axle your shaft is bolted in and when you blow a shaft you can at least roll/drive a short distance to be able to fix the axle... also helps if you're on the track and blow a shaft on the take-off your tire won't roll off and your brakes/stuff nail the tarmac I understand what 'happens' to a c-clip axle when you blow a shaft, but generally when you do blow a shaft it is in an awkward spot on the trail (awkward meaning difficult). Sooo: BLAM! shaft goes, most likely you are still in the obsticle that your axle shaft couldn't make it out of anyway. Non c-clippers can potentially drive a small distance, but it's unlikely your going to be getting anywhere cause your stuck in a rut, minus one wheel. In my experience, if you blow a shaft, you fix that shaft right then and there. It's usually more trouble than it's worth to move the vehicle (unless it absolutley has to happen). Or if you have tons of people/rigs/tools with you. Like UA status. I hope i'm making sense, it's my first post of the morning.

Beautiful! I get it now, thanks!

Haha unfortunetly I have to agree. It is pretty easy to remove paint from a window with a razor + goo gone, but that's just more work for him. Maybe he's planning on ditching the doors? I like that idea. :brows: Truck is definetly coming along though. I don't know one damn thing about fixing major body rust like that other than cutting it out like cancer... Kudos bro

Awesome! My dream would be to have a low miles 4.0 (preferably HO) laying around that I can slowly work on and eventually throw into my truck. On another note, your building a trail rig for your daughter? I think i'm in love.

Most of california is pretty rust resistant. That doesn't mean the majority of people out here are sensible or good at driving though. I live in Tahoe now and they unfortunetly salt the $#!& out of the roads. My pretty rust free vehicles have contracted a bad case of rust in one winter up here.

Looks like it's a 16x16 .ico ? I hope photoshop can make those...

That's a pretty good answer. :brows: He's definetly one smart cookie. If i'm not mistaken he was a heavy hitter over at NAXJA too (maybe still is).

We are all hoping the best for ya man!

Wow is she cleaning the diff cover?! I need to get me a girl like that! BTW After a few years of running an 8.8 I must say the weakest point (IMO) is the diff cover itself. It's got a goofy lip on the bottom that is BEGGING to be pryed up on a rock. However that could be solved with one of these:

I just want to reinforce the 'permanence' of my drop brakets on my truck. They have worked great for years, and I plan on keeping them around as long as the truck is moving. short arms fo life!

if it was just you, I must have been seeing a mirage... it looked pretty crappy, if I do say so myself... Website sucks. Hopefully they are just spending too much time making decent parts. :D HAHA your the most optimistic person in this club. You deserve an award sir.

What's "lowering"? :thwak:

Do it yourself and $ave! (less than $100 for everything, including prep stuff and masking stuff) Now I sound like a commercial. Yea I know it's not as nice as sprayed on, but the truck itself cost me only $400...
