  1. Truck looks great! Completely off the subject here, but I used to have that exact same "front lawn" in 1991 when we lived in El Paso, TX. Man did that ever suck to play football on. The upside, never had to mow it and only had to rinse the dust and blood off every once in a while with a hose :D
  2. Ok, so trailer it is. Thanks everyone. Mvusse, face it, we're screwed on gas :D
  3. Please guys, can we get a consensus. I'm trying to figure out my total bill to make it to the badlands and back in July. And I need to know if I should rent a trailer or if I can get away with a dolly.
  4. Sweat, bloody fingers, bruised knuckles, and a whole lotta cursin. :rotfl2: Just kidding T, how's the new MJ comming along?

I've never noticed. I usually pass out with my face in the peanuts from drinking with the WWII guys up in the observation lounge.

My favorite train is the one that runs from D.C. to Orlando. I take it a couple times a year to visit my mom. Drive 3 hours.Load the car on the train. Eat, drink , and be merry with the older folk. Pass out at midnight, wake up at 7:00 AM, and I'm only four hours from Miami. I think one still goes out west too. I wish they had more options for destinations though.
  7. Pat, what would you sell the truck for if it was all fixed up?

  11. Smitty, does your steering wheel vibrate more than usual when your at a light in gear? And does your exhaust sound like it has a leak in it? And did you say it doesn't make the sound in neutral?
  12. Understand. I knew there was a overiding reason why I figure he's the best qualified candidate. :deal: Ok, Horny, put down the High-Life. I think Wahoo is talking about John McClain, super hero of the DieHard movies, portrayed by Mr Bruce Willis, Not the other balding guy, republican candidate running for presidente of the U.S. of A. :D

  18. Yo, T-man, what's the good news? And to be frank, have you tried marijuana for the pain. I'm curious because I did and I actually felt worse being high as a kite. The only thing that's ever helped me has been Perkisets. I have no idea how to spell that. Sorry. Hey good luck man!
  19. Absolutely man. That's what Martin Luther King woulda done. I'm gald there's still peacefull people in this world.
  20. I'm sorry to hear about the way the owner treated you man. Seems like just another case of nookie depravation to me. May GAWD have mercy on his soul. And if ya want for $500 or a decent lift kit and an adress we can fix his attitude problem. Just kidding.
  21. Sorry to hi-joke your thread Ben. Hey J, way is actually spelled guey. Yoo no what I mean ese. I didn't want any of those East LA cholos reading this post and making fun of us for incorrect spelling and gramatical errors. Us homeys gotta stick toogether men. :rotf:
  22. :agree: :agree: Great source for dealer parts. Man, we are such brown nosers :D
  23. Careful with that Way, brake clearer works good and will take off more then just grime, but paint, and might melt some plastics and rubbers..(not the prevention kind,, I know you all to well :D ) Another thing is thats stuff is very flammable, so don't use it when your engine is running, and disco your batt.. just to be on the safe side... Exactly what JT said, I know, that's why I put a disclaimer on the bottom. It'll melt the rubber and plastic too. Just keep it all covered up. Only use it on the metal. You know what, better yet. Don't even use it. Get some degreaser, a tooth brush and a couple old rags you lazy @$$ :rotfl2:
  24. Check LEAD NOT FOLLOW's bulid thread. He used XJ bumper brackets to mount them inside the side of his bed. It looks good.
  25. Ben, change the valve cover gasket. It's cheap, (make sure you get a good gasket) I think i read a lot of people have used cork and RTV, don't quote me though. Either search or ask what they used. I bet ya 75% of your problems go away just doing that. My truck also leaks a little oil from the cap. Don't know why. I've tried three differnt caps, all new. I guess the hole just got bigger over time. Maybe we could find a cap with a thicker seal or maybe it's just time to put a new valve cover on. Anyway, change the gasket and clean the area real well with a degreaser. I used brake cleaner when the engine was hot cuz the grime just melts away and evaporates with the heat. Don't believe the rear main seal leak yet. Four differnt mechanics told me mine needed replaced and it ended up being that oil was leaking right outta the back of the valve cover gasket, dripping down the engine, hitting my downpipe, causing a mess, and that smoke your describing. Once I cleaned it up really well back there and kept wiping it off all of a sudden my "rear main seal leak" went away. Good luck. Ps. How much oil are you losing? PSS. Don't use the brake cleaner idea unless you ask a profesional first. I don't know if it's safe. I just use it cuz I hate scrubbing and I have no patience.
