  2. check your trackbar at the axle end...probably the bolt backed off
  3. YAY...made some progress the past couple days: -put in the daystar rear shackles...gave me just over an 1" so the trucks level -sanded the d/s floor inside and outside and preped then painted them...will be por-15'in the floor inside and undercoating the outside tomorrow or Sunday.. -did some electrical work near the fusebox area to help seal out water finally the MJ project is moving in the correct direction :D
  4. no it was tagged 4.10
  5. IIRC yes it will...thats what i did...just bought a new sleeve..cost me like $.15
  6. No i didnt have to grind drill or cut anything...i also used the 96 pedal assembly which mounts the brake light switch in front of the pedal so when its up the switch button is pushed in and the lights are off...when you depress the pedal the switch button comes out and the lights are activated..unlike the older style which sits on that flat spot against the pedal arm
  7. I used one from a 96XJ and followed the same site as everyone else...mine bolted right in and i just modifyed the 96 brake light switch to work... jtdesigns...i used the 1/4 aluminum spacer the goes between the firewall and booster and that solved my problem...you should get that also
  8. no i double checked the rear...just had some really bad shackles and it had stock rear leaves...also had a d35...if it was a metric ton AMC20 i would've been coming home with that too :D
  9. I went to a local JY today on a tip that a MJ was there...so I'm walking around and boop...there it is...an 86 LWB 2.8V6 4wd (4.10's)...no rust or body damage...so i took the: tail-lights (great shape) 3" rancho coils and LCA FACTORY CARGO LAMP :D :D was going to take the dash piece to but it was missing  paid $50 bux and was on my way

  13. i have pro-comp ES3000's for a cherokee with 6" lift and my lower BPE's..they seem to work great so far
  14. i had the same smittybuilt bumper one my MJ and it saved the back of it when i was rearened: A car doing 50mph didnt stop...plowed into my buddies longbed 2wd chevy which then plowed into me causing me to center punch a Honda Accord into the intesection....i had smittybuilts front and rear..only damage to my truck was the rear bumper went under the truck and took out my exhaust and then my KC on the front were destroyed
  15. Not yet..I'm trying to get the SOA done then was going to adj everything so it was level...but now that i had to yank out the interior everything has been put on hold...i will get a bigger pic up as it sits now soon for ya 8)
  16. Well i thought the MJ was almost done then i came home today to find the drivers side floor was completly soaking wet... :headpop: pulled the carpet up to find out after the rain storm yesterday i developed a water leak that now has caused me to rip out all the interior (carpet, seats, all mouldings and the console)...i have to sand the floor down, prime and then i will put some liner down then re-install my interior... What else can go wrong
  17. i did the 2dr XJ buckets into my MJ a while back...i just got a spare bench seat (free) took the floor brackets off..put them on the XJ buckets and bolted them in...Looks great and sits perfect...great write up

  19. there are 4 bolts that hold the tilt portin down to the lower part of the column and what happens is that they didnt use loctite on them and they back off causing the loose column...i took mine apart and put some threadlocker on them and tightend them up and havent had a problem since
  20. Well here are some pics from today...all in all a good day except about 2hrs in the fuel pump on my buddies Tahoe so we ended up trying to fix it to no avail...had to be dragged home  but i got to drive myself home :D For your viewing pleasure: SORRY SO BIG here's some of the mud we were in---> 8) My buddies TAHOE ME in my XJ Tad deeper than i thought...dragged the front diff  Then the aftermath of the failed fuel pump  :headpop:  It was a great day and the weather was fantastic..Lemme know what you all think
  21. I would also buy it and rebuild...i have the BA 10/5 i mine and it had 180K b4 it crapped out...only reason i didnt swap it was because of time issues..needed the truck back on the road ASAP...i run synthetic fluid in mine now and it shift AWESOME... :D
  22. Well i tackled the rear springs today b/c i was bored...i was leary of the front spring nut breaking loose and of the bolt being seized to the bushing sleeve BUT everything came out perfectly!!!! This is how it sat after the 2" AAL...it sagged down and every bump i hit the tires would rub: Here it is now with my RE 3.5" full rear packs: Thx to BHOROCKS for supplying me with the springs!!!
