  1. Those made my eyes hurt.
  2. Doesn’t the door itself have a hole where the upper handle mount goes? Can’t you mark off of that?
  3. Do 91’s have the fuel pump ballast resistor? If it does, jump it to see if it stays running.
  4. My ‘88 does not have the horn symbol and my ‘89 does.

  12. Did you follow the MJ specific brake bleeding procedure? In order to bleed MJ brakes: Open the right front bleeder Depress brake pedal and hold Start engine, brake light should stay on after engine starts indicating bypass valve has moved (sensed front brake leak) Turn off engine, leave bleeder open, release parking brake Bleed left rear Bleed right rear Bleed righ front (close bleeder when done) Bleed left front then repeat bleeding with right caliper closed from the ‘92 service manual
  13. Added AMC rear splash guards using @boxyjeep’s stainless brackets that I painted black, perfect fit. I also added the ghost metal camo Jeep lettering. Now it matches the ‘88.
  14. Use a brass punch (piece of brass rod works well) to remove the lock ring. There is plenty of room to remove the sender with the tank in place.
  15. JMO413 got the build sheets for my 89 LWB and 90 SWB and they say this, I don’t think he edited them: NF2 18.5 g fuel tank on the 90 SWB NF5 23 g fuel tank on the 89 LWB both correct These were gas tank codes (not all MJ) from the 1989 (I think) code list Pete had found and posted, I put it all into an Excel sheet: NFA 20 GAL TANK FUEL NFB 22 GAL TANK FUEL NFE 30 GAL TANK FUEL NFF 35 GAL TANK FUEL NFS 15 GAL TANK FUEL NFU 34 GAL TANK FUEL NF2 18.5 GAL TANK FUEL NF5 23 GAL TANK FUEL The 16 gallon tank was one offered in 89, from the 89 sales book:
  16. Have you added the VIN to the registry? Many build sheets have the tank size listed. I would go with the larger tank, I’m sure price isn’t that much higher.
  17. Don had those on his truck, he used ones by Hella for VW Jettas.
  18. Yup, bought one back in 1990 and sold it to a CC member a couple years ago, coincidentally he was in Austin.
