This information is directly from the three owner's manuals:
1988: Long Bed 16 gallon standard, 23.5 gallon optional, Short Bed 18.5 gallon
1989: Long Bed 23.5 gallon, Short Bed 18.5 gallon
1990: Long Bed 23.5 gallon, Short Bed 18.5 gallon
I just did this, it's not too complicated. This is for the bucket seats with the side supports:
First there are some wires at the bottom of the XJ seat back which hold them in place, remove them. This allows you pull up the center portion and access the side supports. Remove the plastic clips from around the wire in the frame and work the cover off the bolsters. Then reach up under the seat cover and depress two tabs at the base of each headrest receiver and pull them out from the top. Then work the cover off the frame, the back padding will stay with the cover and can be removed later. The non-folding XJ covers do not have the Velcro at the bottom so I zip tied the wires around the frame to hold them in place. You'll also have to cut the side for access to the folding lever. I can try to take pictures if you need more info, I just did this on Sunday and already installed the seats. Let me know.
I also recommend Canon cameras, I got them up the wazzu, AE-1 (very old school film, circa 1980), Elan-7E (old school film), 20D, 40D and my point and shoot SD750.
An alkaloid drug, C11H17NO3 (mescaline), obtained from mescal buttons (either of two species of spineless, dome-shaped cactus, Lophophora williamsii or L. diffusa, of Texas and northern Mexico), which produces hallucinations.
Hi Joe,
There are two MJs at the pick-n-pull in Fairfield (near the Air Force base) one is an '86 the other an '89 (?) both were 2.5L, I think the fuel pumps are still in them. I'm not sure if they're the same as the '91s but if they are that's an option.
Mike
When I changed the clutch master cylinder in my '90 I didn't remove the slave, but mine is an internal slave (AX-15) and there is a bleeder screw at the transmission. Come to think of it my '88 Peugeot trans also has the same bleeder set up. What transmission do you have?
EDIT: I just saw you have the 2.5L, I don't know anything about that set up. So here's a BUMP for you.
The light from the '88 will have one power wire to the harness, the other (ground) is attached to the light bracket, however your '92 will have a two wire connector at the harness (as in the picture below) so you will have to rewire the light. Hornbrod please confirm since you have a '91, my '90 has the two wire configuration while my '88 and '89 are single wire.
The light pulls out about 10 feet (?) and has a magnetic side to it so it can be attached to any metal part, kind off cool.Hey, I have one of those! :D
Hey Joe, did I sell one to you? Have you installed it? Is it working OK?
