  1. Are you sure yours don't fold? They don't stay folded, more like collapse when they hit something and spring back but not all the way back into the clip.
  2. Here are the three types of factory mirrors. The top left one goes in the window corner.
  3. From my '90 The '88 electrical manual is here: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12734&hilit=Electrical
  4. I just came across these external Torx bolts, the PO had rounded them off, probably used a hex socket on them, so instead of just pulling the engine I had to pull the entire engine/tans/transfer case. I will definitely replace them. Here's the link for transmission ID http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27191&p=275238&hilit=ba10+or+ax15+transmission#p275238
  5. Thanks guys, just wanted to make sure there were no contraindications with doing so. The instructions are probably buried in the garage somewhere :dunce:.
  6. Would you still put a dab of sealant where the timing cover and block meet with the one piece silicone gasket?
  7. All MJs have the wiring for the clock, it is there unless a PO cut it.

  15. Make sure the circuit breaker is good, the silver thing at the bottom of the fuse box.
  16. Just pull out one of your bumper bracket bolts and get six grade 5 or 8 of the same size but half an inch longer. You also need 1/4 inch spacers that go between the hitch side plates and the bumper brackets, but you can use washers instead. Then you need two 2 1/2 inch bolts with lock washers, washers & nuts to bolt through the step bumper & hitch.
  17. Looks great . Where did you find this gem? Does this mean your '89 restoration/HO Stroker conversion is almost complete :D ?
  18. Roll down the window and pull up on the wipe starting at one end. It's held on by three clips that attach to the door.
  19. How about the Department of Motor Vehicles? I think vehicle registrations are public records. I'm sure there would be a fee associated with the request.
  20. Try contacting http://www.clemson4wheel.com/
  21. "My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it."
  22. Will one from a '95 XJ with ABS work?
