  1. Glad I am not the only one that makes mistakes. I got the new lines in today and it's back on the road. I replaced both lines and am happy with the quality of the new lines. If any one else needs new lines get the Edelman hoses from rockauto they are great. (and made in Mexico) The new hoses are going to stay away from the steering shaft this time. And the old one.
  2. @knever3You can have the one I have that cluster bezel was actually in the garbage when I read your post and pulled it out to take the pic. Also here is the renix one. PM me and let me know which one you want.
  3. Yes they did. Although they are different from the one you have linked. They were attached to the instrument cluster bezel not the dash. There are 2 styles. One with the rectangles (remix era) and the later style which is just a blank piece(late H.O. era). This one is from a 95 Cherokee. The little nubs on the back are melted to keep the plate in place.
  4. Got the front tow hook tested today. Had to get towed home from work after the power steering pressure hose opened up. Tow hook functioned as intended Totally my fault when I replaced the steering box I didn't orient the line correctly and it has been rubbing on the steering shaft for the last year and a half and now has a hole in it. It will sit for a few days while I wait for the new hoses to come in.
  5. Glad that the diode fixed your back feed issue. Sometimes the sending units can just fail with no rhyme or reason glad you got it sorted.
  6. That appears to be the Renix era fan temperature switch. Originally it is located in the side tank of the radiator but when you swap to an open cooling system like you have, you need to find a new home for the fan temp switch. If you are planning on using the 99 fuel injection and harness that temp switch is not needed and could be removed. However if you are going to run the renix fuel system you will want to keep it there.
  7. The clock is easily removed one screw above and one below. The one on the bottom also hold the cigarette lighter socket in place. Once the clock is removed it will slide right on to place.
  8. Jeepcables.com sells one built in the US for $95.50. I've heard good things about their battery cables. https://www.jeepcables.com/products/daylight-headlight-harness
  9. I don't know of another h4 harness that cheap. Most of the other ones are about $100+.
  10. I have a k suspension headlight harness and it does work but could be better. The plugs for the headlights are ceramic but I don't think they were run through a kiln. They are crumbly. The relay included sometimes sticks and won't trigger. If you do end up getting one from them plan to use a different relay and to change out the headlight plugs.
  11. List of factory gear ratios. Using the grimmjeeper calculator 4.10 will be closest to stock gearing for you.
  12. Yes. @schardein has some switches for sale if you are interested.
  13. The dimmer switch won't care what type of bulbs you have installed but just be aware if you do swap in LEDs they may not be dimmable and will be either on (with full or close to full voltage) or off (not sure what the cutoff voltage is but they will stop working before you get to 0 volts).
  14. Not sure if you have replaced the bulbs in the instrument cluster or not, but most LED light bulbs are not dimmable. This could be your issue. Check what light bulbs you have installed in your cluster.
  15. The wrong speedo gear will be off an exponential amount. Meaning the faster you go the farther off it is. Slower speeds will be off by much less than faster speeds.
  16. You are probably off 1 tooth on your speedometer gear. I bought what the chart said was correct but it was not right for my gear/tire combo. If the speed is reading slow try going down 1 tooth from what you have. Should spin the speedometer just a little faster and correct the issue.
  17. If the bolt did go into the water jacket some silicone should solve the issue. Permatex makes some specifically for coolant. Squeeze some into the hole before the bolt. Then tighten the same as the others.
  18. Yes it sticks out of the valve cover. It is just a reference tab and doesn't affect the sealing properties of the gasket.
  19. https://www.ebay.com/itm/256708094247
  20. It may not be the rear main. It could be the oil pan gasket. I used the blue fel-pro gasket and the rear part that goes over the rear bearing cap doesn't like to stay in place. I had to redo it twice before I got it right.
  21. @boxyjeep pretty sure the sticker that made it on to jeeps was a color version. Like this This is the only picture that Google brings up when you image search the black and white one.
  22. I also thought it was interesting that the 4.0 had a reusable valve cover gasket. Also the difference between the heavy duty radiator 19 fins/inch and the standard 15 fins/inch.
  23. That looks very similar to the gm turbo 350 gears.
  24. Not sure never had a 207. But because the 118, 119, 228, 229, 231 and 242 all share the same speedo hole size you can find the correct speedo gear and cable to fit your speedometer.
  25. That makes sense I have 2 full 87-90 4.0 clusters that I don't need. PM me if you would like one of them.
