  1. i know a bunch of ppl here that have burried there jeep in the mud and filled the alternator completely full. they figured the warrenty was void due to the obvious reasons, but they brought it back to the dealership and they gave them a brand new one no questions askes, and sent that one back to the manufacturer's. it wasnt a one shot deal neither, theyve done it quite a few times now... maybe the dealership is just nice? i dunno. its happened at 3 different dealers
  2. i found a used RE kit, i think its a 4.5 or 5 inch kit...not sure which i was thinking about picking that up but he refuses to give me a price on it, and keeps saying to make an offer. he's about to get 50 bucks for an offer....i don't understand ppl sometimes
  3. lol care to elaborate? what do you recommend for a starter kit? i can't see myself piecing one togethor just yet
  4. suppose to be super easy to rebuild, so thats a plus i know the stealship will sell one with lifetime warrenty including mud damage
  5. i would imagin junk yard shocks are the cheapest....lol i can tell you that mine have no numbers or stickers on them, and they are blue...and they don't seem to ride that bad
  6. what do YOU think? http://www.rocky-road.com/comanche.html
  7. i picked up mine for 350, and i asnt really looking for one they are around, just keep ur eyes open. don't get too edcited you can find a hell of a nice manche for 1000 bucks, ebay isnt where the deals are in my opinion n e more
  8. well look on the bright side, if it blows.... TIME FOR A STROKER
  9. 3.07s would really make it suck on the highway and such power wise.... 4.10's would be considered optimal for 31's, slightly below for 32's, and IMO the better way to go, but i dunno if the TJ axles are a direct bolt in or not 4 cyl XJ kicking around in the j-yard at all?
  10. it COULD work lol, but i do not think it will match up to bracketry or the electronics
  11. ive spoken with someone who had tried it, said it didnt fit very well, but u could make it work with a little fabrication do you want the speakers right at u and ur passengers ears though?

  13. edit: no idea why its not working? but thats what it suppose to look like lol
  14. yeah i meant around the welds. my welds penetrate fully, and i do trust them, but they are not the best looking. i don't pracise enough to make them cosmetically appealing. but hey, a grinder works just as good  i love the look of the scenery (if you will allow me to turn sissy for a moment) i aqlways wanted to travel up to alaska.
  15. here's another cheromanche.
  16. i mnot sure if its in here or not, but someone did the same to a 4dr cherokee, looked absolutally amazing. some ppl just seem to have the knack for it i guess. i would love to learn, but you would have to be really dedicated to get it done. the amount of work ppl go thru to have something different is truely amazing.
  17. That looks excellent! Nice craftmanship. I really like the look! are you going to body filler all the little imperfections? what type of paint? going black i would assume?
  18. i prefer the looks of a 4 dr XMJ better, he did a hell of a job with the converion though. way more patience then i would have for the project
  19. when i priced mine out it was 30 bucks to have the cylinders true'd up, and more if i wanted an overbore i would look for a used engine
  20. i wouldnt mind checking out the pow wow neither its deinately not in the cards at this point though
  21. poor highschooler? if you go on the college of university wait to see what poor is like not only are you not making money, you are spending at a retarded rate lol i don't even know how i manged to pick up a manche a little while ago, but I'm certainly glad i have it AND THE GF LOVES IT
  22. plenty of time, lack of funds lol
  23. maybe...I'm not sure i want to subject my engine to that kind of punishment, but if that means the difference between me passing and failing ill do it the other thing is that if u fail u have to spend "x" amount of money on ur engine to get it running better, and they give you a pass without rechecking. so maybe it would be better to fail it, and then spend the money on it rather then the other way around. it should pass though, as it has a brand new ....not muffler...but a........i can't remember. new emissions things underneath so now i just need to get her purrin like a kitten and it'll be good to go edit: CATILYTIC CONVERTER
  24. the turbine centre caps are on there way, as well as one more turbine wheel so i can mount my fill size spare this is just ont here so i can get the safety check done and actually start driving it. i more worried about the etest then anything rite now cuz its still running a little rougher then id like to see
  25. why would they rub though? i was under the inmpression that 235 was a tire option, actually i know it was de to an old build sheet...so my question is then, what different on the comanches fromt he factory to compensate for this?
