2WD --> 4WD conversion 4.0L 5spd (ax15 I think)
sinnaevd replied to MJCanadian's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Jump on jeepkings.ca to find a whole crap load of ppl in your area selling the parts you need. I can almost garuntee you able to fins what you need to about 300 bucks if you wait long enough for a cherokee to pop up for sale, not to mention you will find someone who will give you a hand if you need it. as far as getting your tech answered, stay on here the people are a lot nicer and a lot more of a help in my opinion. A lot of times you will get flamed on the other websites, although I admit that there are some really nice people on jeepkings as well -
it uses surface rust to make it adhear to the metal. it will pull the oxidation off of you metal and seal it completely thus not allowing air to get to it any more. thats the little i know about it you will definaletly need new metal though otherwise the paint will just leak through and you will get more water damage inside good luck. the stuff works awesome

no doubt there should be, wish i knew where to find them though bud. in Canada, (or at least in ontario) you could sew (sp?) or not pay the contracter at all

nope, it was the most recent post of yours that I found as I haven't been on here really since about february....i suppose it was a tad inappropriate.

My 1-week DD rebuild...
sinnaevd replied to DirtyComanche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
i would use something pretty high, like in the 600's prolly. use soap and water, get it nice a greasy and have at it. say away from ur body lines as you will cut righ threw them. use the razor on the runs before you wet sand. wash it all down with water when ur done and shoot a nice light coat over it. should turn out a lot better for u if ur spraying in the garage again, wet ur floor to trap the dust, and pull it out of the air. it will give u better results. -

lookign for a website for some jeep salvage yards. kinda like dvap.com, texasacres.com, wildcatmopar.com but with jeeps and preferably in canada if n e one knows of those Dirty, do you know of any out west?
-
hmmm maybe i am reading what u guys are telling me wrong but i don't think ive worded my question right just yet lol what is difference from 76 (?) to 86 for the CJ7? is it the same jeep (minus drivetrain differences). like are all body and dash components the same? the jeep would not stay stock for long so I'm not so worried about drivetrain and axle options any frame strength differences throughout the years?
-
lol thanks guys what i am looking for is the difference between years of CJ7's and i am also looking for the difference between CJ8's. Or are the body style's all the same? as in the front ends, lights etc.
-
anyoneknow where i can find pictures of the differnt CJ7.CJ8 years all in one website? this goole thing is driving me nuts

i got 1500 for mine, i know i could have 2000 for sure but needed a quick sale i paid 350 for it it was an 89 and had some rust. 2wd auto column, bench seat, 6 cyl... it all depends on the market

its official, my manche has disappeared into the darkness.

yeah its tough. thankfully i am getting a ton of interest, and the price is decent for anyone looking for a truck, i think a lot of the guys would complain about my price, and i don't really blame them. i need the money though, so its a good thing I'm getting a lot of interest. i know of a pair of MJ's that i could prolly pick up, ones a 4wd, and a 90, the other is a 92 2wd with a dana 44 rear with 4.10's. i could get both for 500 total...its an option that i could prolly do in the summer. the unfortunate thing is the amount of miles on this truck. the drivetrain was in really good condition.

my new MJ which i finally got on the road is now for sale. As it turns out, being in school sucks u dry, and scholarships mean absolutally nothing. It's been a terrible terrible day.

sinnaevd replied to binderbart's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i honestly found the best way to do it was to sit back and read the things that wend on through the tech stuff on here. there is a super descriptive MJ info thing on here hidden somewhere, it was written by dirtycomanche. it was super helpful to me when i first started -
how to: install a factory transfercase skidplate
sinnaevd replied to mjeff87's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
the think I'm looking at is, why would i want a 2wd tranny? i don't think i could resell it, and the life of it would be much greater then any used cherokee i am going to get.....dpendig on how complicated it is, i might give it a try. both trans would be out of the vehicle so i don't think i would have to worry about loosing aqnything. hopefully it owuld be a take off and put back in type thing -
