-
needs new water pump, i know that has 100000 miles on it(140000hms actually) needs valve cover gasket. new exhaust. 89, 4.0, with an aw4 now when it runs, it has white smoke, not really sure if its just a lot of condensation or not. but its also pushing out something b lack. doesnt feel like oil but its mixed in with the condenstsaion so who knows? hoping its just carbon from not running for a while What else should i be looking at?? also idles a little rough. i don't want to run it for too long as i havent actually changed the water pump yet. its just sitting there give me ideas fellas. theres a little oil in the air filter, but not much should i worried about a rebuild?? maybe just a head gasket??? with 140000kms i figured it should have been a real strong engine. starts up immediately though BTW found a nice set of turbine wheels at the wreckers. are they aluminum or steel?? didnt really check

no sir, stroker was the plan from MJ #1, if you remember from earlier this summer (not sure if u read my other posts, but i think u commeneted on them) its all plans in the making. unfortunately i just got done giving away all my other MJ parts   feels good to be back here a lot of new faces
-

alrighte fellas, it loosk like i can pick up the entire front end (bumper, grille assy, fenders and hood) for 50 bucks, not a bad deal at all i thought. the parts are a glossy black, might be better to paint the whole truck black... still no idea what i want to go with
-
wouldi benfit from changing to the entire front clip n e way? perhaps make a bumper to cover where the fender is "cut"
-
i know it works but I'm having trouble finding the thread was discussed with alignment issues i thought someone said you needed the fenders as well?? i know the hood can kinda be a pain as well, but i have a chance at basically the whole font eng of a 98 i want to act quick befor he scraps it. i guess i could also just pick it all up and then get rid of whatever i don't need i was thinking black ive grown partial to girs MJ, that black with the high gloss looks excellent
-
How difficult is it to change over to the newer style xj front end? i should be getting the full front, with the fenders, but should i get the hood as well?? or will the origional MJ hood fit?? also, what colour would YOU like to see on an MJ?? i wanted to do the olive drab, but its been done soo many times already
-
don't sell her, you will regret it i think, espeicially with one that is that clean swap the motor, it shouldnt be too difficult to do.
-
i have a chance at picjing up a 2.5, so if it really is a c oncern i will switch over. there will eventualy be a stroker goig in, so who knows what ill do
-
thanks for posting brett its kinda of a hard decision for me my firefly get 56 mpg city, and the jeep won't even get half of that insurance will increase slightly, but i may be looking at a lot of cash in repairs but on the other hand....it is a comanche its a tough decision not to mention i just finally got rid of allllllllll my MJ parts
-
I can finally get back to my roots fella's. currently well on my way to finding a comanche. it will be a DD, so there will be nothing too major done to it to start...that is until i sell my charger and away I go. as of right now i am looking at an origional 4x4, 6 cyl. trying to find one thats a 4 cyl for gas purposes...but hey stuff happens i guess will keep everyoine posted

find someone who knows the stock market. 1000 dollars could be 10000 in less then 2 months!

New 2.5 MJ project...Now a 4.0 H.O. project

here's something to consider with a very small lift, you should b e able to clear 31's, and i personally think it gives it a real nice look, i found this out when i was fiddling with a set of 31s on my old manche before i junked it with some spacers in the front and shackles in the back u should be able to lift it about 3 inches with very little invested. enough lift that most of your geometry SHOULD be okay, even though i know of ppl who have had problems. you could lift it for under 300, when you lift it swap in the 4WD front axle and slowly save up for the 4wd conversion. u should be able to get a matching d35 set for under 150 for under 500 u should have a nice semi built manche. I know it is doable within that price range in my area, ive found that states be on par or slightly cheaper then ontario my 2 cents oh and if you use spacers, shop around. you might be able to get a good used set for cheap. if you go much bigger then 4 i think u need to really look at driveline angles and such IIRC do lots of research, i think ride quality would be most important someon chime I'm if I'm wrong on what ive learned so far -
congrats that is a super clean mj
