Will an S-10 rear bumper fit?
sinnaevd replied to JohnQ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i say negative. it looks like its droopy to me, unless it really is. if you think you can make that droop go away, then it would look awesome. but if not, don't do it. looks funny to me side profile -
I just got done looking at your pics, and your right. It does look awesome on your truck. Anyone on here ever tried to make one?? I know you can get the insert for it...

How many different plants were the MJ's built in?
-
i'm working on it. I still need the guy to back down in price a little (as I am still putting myself through school). He sounds like he is willing to help me out. Depending on the shape I may keep this one origional and still build the other. I know it needs a floor pan but its supposedly pretty solid n e way. I will still cut it out and replace what's needed. it passed the emissions test, needs some tired and a wind sheild wiper to pass safety. could have a nice weekender

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIT A MINUTE my 91 has an HO..... What do you mean molested?? as in not beat up? or as in someone restorable condition? I know of an long box with a 4.0 AW4, no idea the shape underneath but it looks great from the pain. price would be 200 i'm guessing...and then deciding if you want to deal with border trouble... -
UPDATE!!!!!!!! I'm sorry to dissappoint n e one who was looking forward to seeing some pics, but the digital got dropped into lake michigan after we left, and I don't have a scanner to get the hard copies on here...so no pics are CURRENTLY available BUTTTTTTTTTTTT I am goign back in next weekend (Aug 4,5,6,7,) So I will get some pictures for you guys then.

the guy said it was an origional 4x4, it oculd be a pioneer, maybe a cheif or sport truck, no idea. the article doesn't say now that I look at it.

that rare thing is abig one. and if they are stuck on it, you certainly offend em when you tell them there stuff is not rare, it is actually poopoo. i sually leve my name number and a price I am willing to go. works for buying used cars. should work for jeep stuf fin my area, there's no real demand to sell jeep stuff here
-
Have a chance at another 89, its an origional 4X4. needs floorpan (very little rust but still some, and needs bed work, but also comes with another bed that has very little rust on it. pukegoat, 4.0 rebuilt 80000 km, ago (50,000 miles???) comes with a bunch of new "junk" for it. prices 600 Canuck. Do I make a bad decision and pass it up? do you guys think its worth it? its also a SWB elminator ( i think)

LOL, you are a sick man you know that? but hey, if there's no grass on the feild play in the dirt right? lol
-
will do. i'm putting in 4.56 gears with an ARB, so i should probably get an empty pumkin?
-
the weiner is refusing to sell n e thing to n e one now...I hate ppl :headpop:

planning on more horsepower of just really annoyed with all the "crap" i've only heard that you have to change the air mixture somehow, because it becomes less confined, so more poors into the engine and it begins to run lean. that what i've HEARD, i'venever done so myself

OIC. like I said i have a custom bumper design idea that i really like, i'd like to build it from aluminum to save wear on my rig(whenever i actually get around to building it). i know aluminum can be used for bumpers, but if i wear attaching my tow points to it, I wouldn't want them fail on me... how much would a custom bumper weigh ( and i know this is extrememly hard to answer because there is such a wide variety but toss out a range n e ways please) How much stress is this on the front/rear suspension?
-
see that's unfortunate. i love helping guys out whether its something i don'tneed of will never use (like the hoosier slicks i picked up for free). for instance when I switch my trans to an aw4. if someone on here needed a trans, they could have that one. i know htere wouldn't be much of a market here for it, so i would sell it for about 50 bucks n e way. or if soeone needed the d35, 4.56 gearing, away it goes (although that one i would probably keep). i dunno i believe in helping out n e on eif I can, but for someone to turn around and screw soeone else. is just plain wrong. not to mention, it stops you from returning the helping favour. so now u don't want to give free parts (which i definately don't want to blame u for) and there's less comanche community happiness  boo-urns on stupid ppl

let me knwo when they're up. i'd be interested in seeing what's going on. i've already looked through most of pete's stuff...

where are those pics you promised?

transmission rebuilding.
sinnaevd replied to Oizarod115's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
when my gf's dad did it, he only used the manual. there wasno press involved, i know that for sure. -
I suppose, I hate the warp you can get from using the heat like that, more then likely due to my inexperience/lack of techinique

what rear axle are these?
sinnaevd replied to lostissues's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
you bet ur butt they are. I just got done buying there new rotator splint for my engine. mine's broken... -
i know a few guys form ly local jeep club who are willing to "pick" em up and toss em back to my place later. will keep u guys posted if the plan falls through. I'v enever seen someone be so difficult to work with  BTW, the parts MJ i am acquiring has a D44 with 4.10 gears, i need 4.56, so i was thinking of trading it to someone who is in need of 4.10 (always gotta help a fellow jeeper) would n e one be possibly interested. this is definately a feeler, so don't go making immediate plans or n e thing, i hate to dissappoint
