  1. If you quote him you can copy the addy for the smiley to somewhere and you should be able to use it. MAYBE. Cole
  2. Just the soleniod is whats wrong but for the price if you have the money go ahead and Do the starter it want hurt anything. But it may be 6 months before it messes up again or it could do it tonight. I would just keep the money handy and carry a hammer until it got to doing it alot. Just my 2 cents Cole
  3. OK the MAP sensor seems to be working when i unplug the vac line and stop the leak the motor dies ???immediatly??? but I could get my volt meter to work I think I have a bad lead. Anyways I removed the block for the vac lines that i was asking about earlier and bam it cleared alot of the Rich idle up but not all of it. I think the Vac lines for the EGR and a couple others were cracked?? I also looked at my injector And it was spraying jjust as pretty as before BUT is it suposed to coat the butterfly in fuel or should it not spray so much at idle cause it seemed like alot. I have to get a fuel pressure tester and see if thats right and BTW I found that adjustment screw thing on the regulator. If anyone has anymore ideas I would greatly appreciate them Cole
  4. Here you go Jage here is his project post I had it bookmarked for some reason I think to look at the paint cause i had been wanting to paint mine like that so I was researching it on here...Well anyways now we can get back on topic. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1748&highlight= Cole
  5. Ok I think aemsee is right but has anyone done it. And if not does anyone want to confirm the lines just pass straight through without doing anything spectacular.....I am planning to work on the truck in the morning since i got off work to do it. :brows: so let me know what you guys think about removal of this item plus i discovered 2 lines are cracked on it anyways. Cole
  6. Sounds like a flywheel issue to me. If you don't push the clutch in maybe your flywheel is out of whack with the starter. Then you depress it and it aligns it up to work right???? Just a thought Cole
  7. I found mine at a yard sale with the air compressor if you can call it that and everything. Also if you have OBA you can use semi truck ones.... Cole
  8. Thats a train air horn I had one on mine until I went for inspections in NC the one time they actually checked it and they blew the horn and I heard every tool drop in the place. They then ask me to remove it and I told them to hit the right button (i had 2 horns) and it would be normal. ;) Cole
  9. NE one know if I can eliminate that junction block that the vac lines go through see my above post for exact location and stuff. I don't think it does anything extra??? Cole
  10. Ill look into that if it stops raining today. Is there a voltage reading that should be good or how should I test it. Cole
  11. I only see around 100-150 in parts there. If you have to pull the Steering box go ahead and save the trouble and find a cheap power one to put in as well. If your up for it. Cole
  12. See I said the same thing. Take a hammer and primer to it and don't worry anymore
  13. Sometimes the seloniod will NOT fully engage due to electrical issue (low current from battery or its going bad). This will cause a grinding noise when you crank and starters are tricky anyways one day it will lock up and you tap on it and it brakes free then 6 months later it want crank again after not haveing issues. check the current at the starter anbd your cables as pete mentioned. Cole
  14. OK after an hour of searching I have found the post. It was the one aemsee was talking about the MAP sensor and I think thats the problem. Pete I have cleaned every peice of the TB including the injector and check it and it sprayed a fine mist cone so its good. Now one more question.. I know some of you 2.5 guys and 4.0 guys have done some vaccum line work so here's my question. My 2.5 has a stupid block that the lines pass thru next to the TB. Can this block be eliminated or does it do something special???? I broke a line on it while checking lines today and now I want to remove it so I can fix all the lines properly. Cole
  15. First I have an 1987 2.5 manual sportruck with 206000 or more miles on it I have finnaly decided that I need to fix a problem with my motor instead of doing some other projects. I have been running semi rich since i got the truck 6 years or longer ago but havent tracked down the problem. I have a bad IAC motor (the thing on the front of the TB at the linkage that adjust your Idle I think) but that shouldnt cause me problems driving down the road. I am thinking CPS but i don't know for sure, or what about the O2 sensor which was changed when i first got the truck, I have checked all vaccum lines and cleaned the entire TB and injector (TBI Motor if you didnt know). I have seen a post on this but never caught what motor and when I searched for it today 50 pages came up of posts and I didnt want to look through them. I have no clue other than what was mentioned as to what it might be OR i am looking over something simple it could be. let me know what you guys think Thanks Cole
  16. Sooooooooo Wheres the funny story to go along with your statement....... don't tease us and then dance off to the sunset. :brows: :teehee:  Cole
  17. Dirty was right Here is a post from him awhile back... BTW looks great... Cole
  18. Use a hasp for a gate and soem good Master Locks....That will do till you get a better solution. I was going to do that to my truck but then the locks started working plus from a distance (well even up close it don't look like my truck would have anything nice in it. ;) Cole
  19. Its going to be in the low 80s here at base this thurs. and its only 45 right now. Cole
  20. don't know about adding 5th to a 4 speed tranny but the swap is simple I done mine the other way all i changed was the bellhousing but you shouldnt need to do that since your donor is a 2.5 mine was a v-6. Can I ask why your swapping them??? Cole
  21. You should be ok with the way I cut mine. Since you have short arms the fender needs to be cut as close as possible to the door. Cole
  22. There is a huge diff in wieght from front to back so the spring rate isnt going to make driving fun. You need a higher spring rate front spring. Might try a YJ spring and axle seems to me it would be an easy swap if the leaf mounts on the axle will align with your frame mounting location you are fabbing. And by saying easy I am not saying its not going to be hard it WILL be a tough job but if all the brackets on a YJ axle align with what your doing that takes alo0t of fab work away from the job. :brows: Cole
  23. I new it was a good idea to make them...... :brows: Cole
  24. NP what size tires are you running??? I have a little over 7"s of lift and 35s and fully stuffed its a good 4"s of clearance. Good luck and let me know how it goes. Cole
  25. Congrats now whats the Plans???? :brows: Cole
