Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Nice, keep the pics coming.
  2. Image Not Found You can still find rust free Comanche's for less, I found mine on a used car lot for $2200.00. It was 2wd, 4.0 with only 59.000 miles on it.
  3. Image Not Found Image Not Found Here's a pic, I also tried tapping in 4 screwdrivers to push in the clips and then tap it up but still couldn't move it. I wanted to remove the shifter extension for shipping but I guess I'll box it up like it is.
  4. How do you remove the shifter extension lever from the trans shifter on a 2wd BA10/5. It's two piece, square with clips in it. Thanks, John
  5. Image Not Found From rc on 2-23. Andy in PA on left me on right.
  6. I agree with JeepcoMJ. I did the same conversion using a $200.00 XJ for parts.
  7. Image Not Found Image Not Found I couldn't find any sb gas tank skids. I had to cut down a long bed skid plate and weld it back together for my short bed. and then make new brackets.
  8. Here's some pics of the skid plate. so far I cut it down 5" to fit a short bed tank. Next I'll start making so new mounts. I bought a Lincoln 180 mig so this project is perfect to practice on. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  9. I went to the yard on Sat and came home with this, and I don't own a cherokee anymore. Image Not Found
  10. It's still on the truck, I would have pulled it, but the blind nuts on the bed mount were spining and I didn't have a hake saw with me. If I don't use it I'll send you a pm.
  11. I found a steel gas tank skid plate in a junk yard for a long bed, but I need one for a short bed. Will it fit a short bed, or could I change the mounts to make it fit? and do long beds have a larger gas tank? Thanks, John
  12. I just started into the intersection when a mini van ran the red light. I shredded her fender with my rock bumper. I did have to replace the drivers side fender, but at least I could drive it home. I'm glade I wasn't driving my comanche that day. Image Not Found
  13. Image Not Found Here's a pic of the mirrors on my 87. Sometimes there a pain in the @ss, you really have to turn your head to see out the pass side window.
  14. Here my pics of my stickers, one for the pickup, one for the rubi and one for the 70 SS Chevelle. Well, maybe not the chevelle but it would make people think. John Image Not Found Image Not Found
  15. Some old guy traded it in for a new Dodge. As for the lift, I had a trailmaster 4" lift from an XJ that I once had. The axles and tires were the only things I spent some cash on the rest came from doner Cherokee's.
