I am freakin outraged at this either he needs to get back on and say he is not a spammer or he needs to be removed. :hateputers: :headpop:  Well I am at work posting this so some help for the weekend wold be nice>>> ;) Cole
  3. you and your dman truggys...... Cole
  4. The change is next year so maybe they are changing rules or something when I read it on JPmag.com I was excited I might start whatching it more. :brows: Cole
  5. better than a manual due to it haveing some pressure on the gears and drivetrain at all times IMO. but I don't know for sure maybe someone does. But really I can deal with it after the first time I wenyt off-road it was crazy the diff it made but I think just my front will still give me a good amount of traction. But yeah it does take some getting use to. Cole
  6. The prob is I don't have anything but my manche and the 2.5 with 4.10s riding on 35s does not like the highway to good plus I don't think my motor has that many miles till death left. And your right It could be a chunl of money to be made if I could get them. Cole
  7. You couldnt even say a limp it looked like a horse with a broken leg dragging its arse on that side. Never again will that happen. (knock on wood) Cole
  8. Anything Is possible. Isnt JPhill doing a body drop??? That seems really interesting for lack of a better term. Cole
  9. Find a wrecked XJ or MJ and buy it for parts. That should be easier for ya. Cole
  10. What tranny do you have??? Wouldnt happen to be an AX-4 or 5 would it? Sounds like my troubles with mine. I shreded the input or output shaft on my ax-4 (can't remember which it was). Sucked bad when they all went away except 4th cause its straight thru. Sorry to hear of the luck you had. Hope everything works out well. Cole
  11. Ever seen a blow out happen??? Just add alot of flames and peopple running for there lives. Can be very funny. Once in awhile the wheel will bend and crack some too. Cole
  12. :chillin:
  13. I am throwing around an idea for down the road that involves takeing Some DOM and big TREs and creating my own but when I do it I am going to ream the nuckles from the top to help the steering...Might want to look into this. If pingpong chimes in I believe he is the one that showed me some pics of it and explained it to me. Plus he is great at fab work. Cole
  14. :headpop:  :hateputers: I hate that I am prob gonna pay 250 or so and have to pull it. I wish I could find such a ggod deal but i have searched everywhere close and nothing that cheap. Hell the locals want 400 or 500 depending on what year. That is nuts for an axle when you can buy a complete one with a detriot and all for that from the guys on local forums. I am so frustrated with this searching and crap. But I will have some money around mid summer due to a 4 month trip to a really hot area of the world. ;) Cole
  15. I can send you directions to my house and you can leave it around back.... :D J/K great find though I need to get a deal like that. Cole
  16. WOW i missed that I am going to trim mine out so it looks right. ;) Cole
  17. OK jeepspeed is letting comanches in and I found this guy who wants to do it. Just thought Id share http://blogs.jpmagazine.com/1005816/miscellaneous/race-a-comanche/index.html Cole
  18. That would make it pull to the right..... Pass side furthur back than the drivers will point the tires slightly to the right. Do an alignment on her with a good tech doing it not some half @$$ mechanic that knows how to run a computer. A tech will usally do it right or just find an oldschool Mechanic that can do it for you. Cole
  19. Ok I guess i need to find a whell with the correct backspacing. Thanks for the info guys. Cole
  20. I concur
  21. I have bought everything to do it but still havent done it. Went to Lowes and picked up some braided steel cable and the clamps for it. Then drill a few holes and walla done. Cole
  22. Try to get a newer 8.8 with disk brakes. Or a 44 from a MJ/XJ or an AMC 20 from a MJ(hard to find). Cole
  23. I concur you have to start clutching threw sharp turns and taking off alot diff. but it is amazing what they do for traction. Cole
  24. I don't think it would be easier unless you found a manche with a LSD or something of that sort cause your going to have to fab up mounts and such.Just my .02 worth. PS...I am saying this so you buy the locker just what I think. It took me 45min to put mine in so not really hard just a few bolts and yank the shafts out part ways and walla your halfway there. Check out powertrax website and look at the instructions and you will see how easy it5 is. Cole
  25. Yeah what Dirty said... If you have a traction device you will burn it up like me I have to have as close as possible. Alot of the local guys run with in one tire size spares and never have issues but the Open diff guys like most of the stock MJs can run a 44 on one side and a 28 on the other and nothing will burn up.(thats just an exageration so don't go doing it. :D ) With that said on my first and only trip to Tellico I had 0 issues all day except my T-case slipping inbetween low and neut. and the day killer was the fist size pucture on my rear 35" tire.I had a 33 spare but it was an aluminum wheel and used the shafted kind of lug nuts(for lack of better term) which I forgot 4 hours away in my garage. needless to say I came out with a stock spare on one side and a turdy-five on the other also a really red face  when wwe drove by rock garden with everyone stairing and again alittle latter when we drove threw a crowd of 25 or so and the park ranger stopped us to tell us we would burn our gears up and we told him it was open diff. and he said "well you must've been stupid to try this place" after telling him all the trails we went on he shook his head and walked away. Sorry for the long story but I thought Id share my stupid moment. :dunce: Cole
