I've actually heard a lot of good things about Kobalt tools. I'm not too sure on who all besides Lowe's sells them, but I haven't heard very much if any thing bad about them so far.

And, I have a better chance at having more free money for my 86/90/MJ15. Sorry, I just like the fact that if the pack make it to the dance, I get $300 to go towards getting it ready for the badlands this summer.

lol...I already have a nice black one coming here next sunday... but I could use another for a different proejct if it doesn't sell :D Don't forget though, you're also getting my black LWB one too. :brows:

huh? I think he's referring to earlier in the year. Either way, I'm only a temporary packer fan. I got money coming my way if they make the superbowl. :brows:

Actually, IIRC the X was middle of the group. The XLS was the "top end" model for the 86 year.

Door speakers and manual windows
beaterjeep replied to DansGreyMj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have brand new Pioneers in my 86 and they don't get in the way of the windows at all. Maybe your's are just too deep for the space in there? That's the only thing I can think of. -
As long as I/we can get the few things done that I need to, you'd better believe the 86/90 will be there. I may even lay off of the pics of the finished project until then too. Just to make the wheeling pics the first ones posted in it's new form. :brows: Oh, any date works for me; but we all already knew that one. ;)

That will be to cool. Hopefully I'll have the funds to still accomplish this one yet this year. If not, it'll definitely be done next year. The plans on how to do it have already been layed out, it's just a matter of getting the material and time to do it.

I've said it many times before in here, but it deserves it again; looking good man.

New plans have been added for PePe as well as Baby. PePe will be getting a 3" lift to start his growth spurt out. I'm also tossing idea around in my head for a custom made rear bumper/sliders. Further down the road, I'll be swapping the bed out for one in worse condition than what's on it now. Yes, I said worse condition; that's because it will end up being chopped up, and the one on it now is way too nice to do that to. Here's a major hint and clue; think mini M715. :brows: Or as Jeepco has called it, MJ15.

Bringing it back from the dead again. Since minydigger's thread about his lowered eliminator, it has inspired me to get my backside in gear on dropping this thing. I am currently on the hunt for a set of ZJ rear coils and waggy leafs. Since her back end sits higher than the front, I think I can pull off the waggy leafs. I've had more than one lead on a large displacement motor, but all have fell through; in fact one of them (a 327 from a 69 'vette, that was in a '77 Vega wagon) sent the #2 piston right through the hood. No joke, I seen the carnage, it wasn't pretty. So now the hunt begins for a Chevy LSx or an LT1.

Not only what dfreeman said, but if it's left in there long enough, it starts to corrode and eat away the rim, especially around the bead area. I've had that happen on 2 steel rims that I had bought from a friend that were sitting in his garage for about 3 years. The slime had literally eaten the bead to the point that they would only hold air for a day, and then they were flat again. Very hard to clean off of rims and tires as well.

Come on guys, we own Jeeps, they are simply making us Just Empty Every Pocket to maintain them.

That's almost perfect stance in front. I'm going to be doing the same thing to my 88, so I have to ask; what year ZJ rear coils are you running up front, and what year waggy leafs were you trying to get? Your project is coming along real nicely, and I'll be watching this one quite closely.

2.1 Renault Turbo Diesel MJ: Project Smoker
beaterjeep replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
It's a hole in a motor, yes, but that hole is in the tractor that is sitting in front of the 3800 in the newest pics in that thread. Looking like a long road ahead man, but I know how you work. Keep in mind though, I'm willing to contribute parts to this one. ;) -
I seriously hope you weren't talking about his wife.   Sorry, I started in as well.

Hey Tim, congrats on the first post on CC in the new year. Oh, and as for the sin of mixing the turkey, yea, I know it was. We just didn't get started into it until about 4 in the morning, so we were trying to tone it down a lil bit. ;)

Jack is my buddy. :brows: Although, Wild Turkey 101 and Mt. Dew; that was a recipe for an all night poker game. EDIT: HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE IN THE CC.COM FAMILY!!

1bolt, I'm loving what you did with them emblems. Glad to see they went to a good home. Truck looks great, even if it is as you claim "a work truck." Loving the cowl and blackout on the hood and header panel too. Keep up the good work, if there's any left.
