Can't say I've regretted selling an MJ, as I haven't had to do that before, but I do regret selling this. Excuse the crappy pics, I had to take a pic of the original pics. Them are the only two pics I have left of what once was my beloved '84 Shelby Charger. I regret it everyday I look at them pics. Last I heard of it was about 4 years ago, the guy still has it and it's still winning car shows.

That makes sense. But what would happen if your last name had less than 7 characters in it?

Do I dare ask why he was looking at a pig's backside?

CW, that reminds me of a story. I bought an nearly finished 36 Ford 5-window coupe hot rod with a small block 327 during my last year of HS. Got it running pretty well, thought I knew it all, but it stumbled a bit going around corners - float level adj. had to be off. It had a Holley 650 dual feed 4-barrel (the old style w. the external float level adjustment). You can see where this is leading. Pulled the plug on the float bowl, engine was hotter than I thought, POOF! What a dumbass. Luckily there was a garden hose close by, I shut the engine off, put the fire out, and surveyed the carnage. Had to do some major rewiring, repaint the hood, and replace the windshield because it shattered when the cold water hit it. Ah, memories. But yet no meaning on your name? ;)

Good to have ya back Nate, even if it is only for a quick single post and then ya disappear again.

IIRC, when I was looking around for info on adding a turbo to the 2.5 people were saying that the Renix and ChryCo blocks were made of different materials; that one or the other was able to handle the extra strain better. Not sure if there's any truth to this one though. Just what I've read.

My MJ15 won't start with the battery that's in there either, but when I pull the one out of Baby, it fires right up. I know the battery was good before I parked it, so I'm just gonna end up getting a new battery and having the old one looked over.

Struck out at the jy today. (+ Renault 5/LeCar discussion?)

Hey, you may have not found anything useful, but isn't that half the fun of it? Almost like a flying blind feeling; the adrenaline rush of not knowing if you'll land it in amazing fashion, or if you'll crash and burn. -
I may live in WI, but I don't have any sports affiliation here; college or professional. For college, it's Michigan for football and UNC for basketball. For professional, it's Carolina for football and I could really care less about basketball. For you Canadians, hockey isn't a sport; it's figure skating with sticks. *ducks out of the room to avoid the onslaught about to begin*

Even if ya did, I don't think anyone really cares. I do it so much now, I had to add it into my sig.

And yet another successful thread hi-jack.

What color would said smurf turn if he was to be choking?

Didn't price Sod...this was about $3.70 Sq/Ft for just the product...I'm guessing quite a bit more than sod, but, no water, no mowing, 25 year warranty, no fading, no mowing, no mud, no mowing... Aaaand, the best part of all; no grass stains on the kids' clothes. :D

If anyone happens to know what color that thing is painted, please let me know. I think it would look great on Baby with my ghost flames up front. :brows:

Looks good Wade. Nice and green, and never have to water it, what more can ya ask for? Aside from a few of these    with good friends. Small? To me that's HUGE!! I hate living in an apartment sometimes.

Sorry Eagle, I just had to quote that for the future. Did I read that right though; the self proclaimed preservationist has mods laying around? Mark the calendars guys. Anyways, back on topic here, I agree with everything said so far. I too have been there, done that. Paid out my backside for it too. It made me who I am today to go through the disciplinary measures that my mom put upon me though. I now have the utmost respect for my mother, and what she did for me back then. Ask anyone that knows me personally, I'm one of the nicest people they know; willing to go out on a limb for friends and family, even if it means sacrificing my own income or health. Trust me when I say this; it's a lot of live and learn out there in the "real" world. Your experiences you go through now WILL affect the future.

Only one word comes to my mind when I seen that.... perfection.

Good choice of colors you've selected. Here's one of the best examples I've seen of a flat O.D. green on an MJ. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/view ... highlight=

Cost is one huge benefit. 231's are a plenty and relatively cheap. :D

LOL. I've never been much of a people person, so I'll call the one on the far East side for now. More play land that way too. :D

You got a click from me too. Had to see what it's about. I swear, if I were a cat, I woulda used all 9 of my lives long long ago.

 That's a big puppy. What breed is he? Almost looks like a mastiff in a way.

Sorry to the O.P. for the temporary hi-jack first of all. I was planning on running a T3 turbo with 26lb injectors and only running around 5lbs of boost. I've been doing a lot of research on it lately, and from what I've been reading (not to say that it's all accurate) the lil 2.5L Jeep motors can handle up to 175ish HP with stock internals.
-
There's an old saying that would fit perfectly in this thread. I'd rather be blown than stroked. :D I say just go with a turbo setup (I'll be doing this in the future) or go the supercharger route; both are good for HP gains and minimal to no internal work needed. Just my 2ยข.

excessive fogged windows
beaterjeep replied to 87mjdriver's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
All good suggestions; however, if you're willing to deal with it for a while, just go out and buy a chalkboard eraser to stash in your glovebox. When it gets fogged up, just erase it away. :brows:
