  1. I get looks in mine all the time too. The '88 and the '86 attract different looks though. With the '88 it's usually looks of "nice truck" and with the '86 it's usually looks of disgust as I'm being passed. Of course, they both do also attract looks from the local P.D. too.
  2. I've been thinking about running a turbo on my '88 for a lil while now. My main concern is if it would work with a renix motor though, and where to mount everything, and what all it would entail. I have a few more links than that one saved to my favorites, but all I've been able to come across is installs for '95 or newer 2.5's.
  3. Now that looks good in there. Just a curiosity question though, what are you going to be doing with the old seats; are they gonna be going up for sale? If you're gonna be selling them, would ya mind shooting me a PM with your asking price?
  4. And, to keep in that tradition I have now done the same thing as well. EDIT: Proof of my feat. Even though it's difficult to see and read it properly.
  5. A bit mis color matched, but all in all, a nice looking rig for sure.
  6. Hey now, I thought this was a section for site problems, not personal problems. :D
  7. Who's gonna be in charge of collecting everyone's info this year? Might as well get a start on that; the sooner the better kinda deal, so that there's less chance of someone forgetting, and we can get the info distributed in time.
  8. Looking good so far Pat.
  9. Less than a week to go before the ball gets rolling, and the pics start flooding the pages here. :D
  10. Yes Pete, as 99% of us know, there is a difference in the rooflines. I have reason to believe the one I have from Jeepco is off of an XJ, as it has a slight downward slope to it, as can be seen in the pics; whereas hornbrod's looks more straight out off of the roofline.
  11. Hey Correy, don't know if ya came across this bit of info but, it seems by that that you're not the only one having troubles with that particular card.
  12. WOW, very disturbing for sure. I do agree with the old guy reporter, it just makes no sense, since they had fired off so many rounds without a problem that same day, but as soon as 2 shells fly and the 3rd get jammed in a single trigger pull, off in handcuffs, and more than likely a prison sentence?? Talk about overkill by the good ol' government yet again. :headpop:
  13. No clue what it is around here right now; I don't get out enough to bother checking the prices. BTW, for those wondering, Turbo Blue is a high octane (essentially race) fuel.
  14. Now that I know that he's alright, I can say it. He just had to read the directions is all; Flip Over Read Directions. :D
  15. Oh come on guys, they're not that bad. I love having mine, it keeps the sun out of my eyes when the inboard visors are too short. I'm not too sure what company makes the one I have, as it was a "Wisconsin deal". I'll go check it out later on though, I need an excuse to get out in this warm 30 degree weather.
  16. Pat, you should know by now that something is only worth as much as someone's willing to pay for it. I'll give ya $5 and a place to stay for almost a week for it. :brows: All joking aside, I've actually been looking into them in the past and new they're not too cheap, so depending on the condition, I'm sure you'd be able to get around abouts $150ish or so for it?? Just a guess, since they run about $225 new.
  17. You and then dirt mounds in your yard; this is what, the second or third time now you've had them and played on them? Don't blame ya though, I'd be doing the same thing. How has everything at the new place been going for ya?
  18. They look like wires with plugs connected to them to me. :D Sorry, other than that obvious one, I'm no help, but I do think that John and Jeepco are correct though. I have a couple of them same plugs that aren't being used, and had been wondering the same thing.
  19. :agree:
  20. Wade, I know why you reposted that one, and I have a feeling where it's gonna end up too. :brows:
  21. Welcome to our corner of the institution; I mean internet. If you're of drinking age, the beer's in the fridge  , but beware of the tan bench seat next to it. Nice looking MJ as well; is it a coveted Laredo? It sure looks like it to me.
  22. Well said; couldn't have done any better myself. And believe me, I tried before posting this.
  23. So do you though. :D Ah crap, that means I'm next, doesn't it?
  24. Ah man, there goes that idea; I was planning on breaking a rear axle shaft, the front driveshaft, and rolling it on it's side.  Yes, if any/all of that happens, I'll kick my own @$$ for mentioning it.
  25. If we get my '86 done in time, it'll still be mainly stock, and I'll be taking that. So, the "I have a stock rig" line don't work too well. ;) To make it worse, I'm running with the stock axles and gearing. I'm full well expecting to break at least something, but that's the fun of it, break it and rebuild it better.
