  1. Is this a good time for me to as what a kingpin is? Ive seen that term thrown around a bit. sorry for hijacking
  2. My first four-wheel drive vehicle was an 85 Bronco 351w with a half working carb, smelled like gas in the cab and you couldnt drive it very long with out your eyes burning. I bought it in highschool to piss my dad off. He made me sell it after i graduated. I went mudding in it a few times which was semi-legal...no one was really sure, it was a mud/dirt road about a 1/4 mile long, nothing compared to my Comanche at the Badlands...so i didnt really count it. To be honest ive been hooked since i was a little kid and saw the magazines at the grocery store, i always tried to get my dad to buy them for me. Jeep On! ~max
  3. well if i work hard and I'm a little bit lucky ill be a pharmacist in a year and a half
  4. I love fourwheeln. I love jeeps. I'm 22 and I'm completely hopelessly obsessed. here's the pics and vids http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=mudhound0530 http://stlcop.facebook.com/album.php?ai ... =172900063
  5. thats reall cool, vent tubes are next on the list. I was thinking about running them up into the cab through the floor...i know its kinda getto but its a trail only rig.
  6. the rear axle is cool. what about the gear box, is there one there too?
  7. Thanks a ton guys. It doesnt have an aftermarket controller in the cab, i thought there may have been a factory deal, i guess not. Its an 01 shortbed silverado 4.8L, not worried about it pulling it. We are going straight to the badlands and will be super careful. Thanks a ton for all the info. I love this forum.
  8. How would i know if my 1500 silverado has the trailer brake controller on it. it has the big round plug for the trailer wire hookup not the 4 wire plug...thanks guys. need to know asap as I'm leaving in the AM (its a friends trailer) now that i think about it do all you guys trailer with trailer brakes??? are they a must?
  9. The light is on bc i changed the wiring on the back of the idiot lights. here's what happened in order 1. PO took out all the light, i buy new lights...see what lights up 2. e-brake light and shift light work (and stay on constantly) 3. i shift the wiring around bc i don't have an ebrake and i don't need an upshift light that doesnt work 4. Now i have a PART TIME light on all the time...which is fine cause its a trail rig not a DD and it will be in 4wd amost all the time.(except on dry pavement...I'm not starting that topic) 5. And i also have a MUD light just to make me giggle.
  10. I don't know if everyone can tell but "MUD" lights up with PART TIME...i just think its fun. More importantly I'm proud of myself for being able to read a wriring diagram cause I'm a uber n00b when it comes to that stuff. ps - both lights are on all the time (ooh well)

    Slime!

Any one use the tire slime? We run them in our atv's but i don't know how much its helped or anyone elses thoughts. http://www.slimesealant.com/
  12. i had a similair tire go flat problem...the stupid thing has been fine for months then all of a sudden it goes flat (it rarely even gets driven) turns out the weights and the COLD caused a tiny hole....so i took out all the weights. Who balances 34 in tires anyway?
  13. is it the thing up there at the top(is there even one) ???? should i run a line from that to keep crap outta the case???
