  1. I would follow that down the road (from a safe distance) just to see the wreck cause it's not if but when it will happen. Reminds me of some of the stupid things I did when I was younger.
  2. That is a very nice truck interior looks as good as the outside! Nice headliner repair. How many miles does it have?? More pictures?
  3. Would be fun to have i could park it next to mine and have a before and after. This one would have to be the before!! Mine definitely the after.
  4. So using that figure and my ability with simple math that means your $12,000 truck in 2020 money's would be $27,945.60 !!! Wow ain't inflation great.
  5. Well yes get your personal stuff worked out first there will always be time for more Jeeps or whatever else you want later when you can enjoy it. Good luck and I hope you can make your dreams happen. Sounds like a great life adventure.
  6. Agreed Stock is good. Nice to hear that there's already a lot of modified MJ's out there you could buy if that's what you wanted. Any driveable MJ is a good thing.
  7. I was thinking that too. A bit to far away for me. I guess that is one way to not have to buy oem tail lights.
  8. Nice truck was on here about a month ago was $22,000 then down from $24,000. Even at $20,000 seems really expensive for a 2wd. I keep thinking I should offer $14,000 not that I need another truck but would be kind of a fun time capsule to have. That would be $3000 more than I paid for my 87 when it was new. Anyone have an opinions on what it is worth?
  9. I had an 81, V45 750cc Magna back in the day clean bike less than 10,000 miles when I bought it was about 10 years old, if I remember right paid $1000 for it because it wouldn't idle. Cleaned the carbs and it ran great, fast bike (to me) was a lot of fun, not very comfortable on longer rides. Sold it after a summer of riding and bought a Goldwing that I still have. I was told the Saber was a more comfortable bike to ride I have no personal experience though. Sorry for the long drawn out 2 cents.
  10. Nice looking truck! Will be curious to see why it was in the salvage yard? Looks to nice for that. Welcome to Jeep ownership and enjoy!
  11. Wow, sorry to see this what a bummer!! Good luck with the sale.
  12. Never, Been so long since I was able to drive it on the road, but at this point I have had it so long it is a part of my past, present and the future. Hopefully I will never have to sell it, it will hopefully move on to a new owner whenever I have moved on from this world. And I am not in a hurry for that to happen!!!
  13. Frustration can be a part of owning an older Jeep. The love of Jeep ownership makes it bearable. Glad you got her going now comes the enjoyable part. Nice truck!!
  14. Man now that I have seen the inside I am even more jealous. 87,000 miles wow it's almost new you got a great deal. Nice truck enjoy!!
  15. Wow pretty nice truck for $300 !! Never find anything that nice in the great lakes area for that price. Nice job.
  16. Wow and they feel the need to charge $20.00 more for shipping. Agreed not $500.00 dollars nice
  17. Wow that is a nice looking truck. And low miles too. I like the color combination.
  18. The one between your ears. Its the best one we all own. Otherwise If you look around its amazing how many tools you can find at the yard.
  19. I would be interested in the BA10 tools.
  20. I used a piece of 5/16 square key stock I had laying around with a 5/16 8 point socket.
  21. Yes a HAPPY, SAFE and HEALTHY EASTER to ALL!
  22. I am with Pete on this one I have owned a lot cars and trucks over the years. The ones I enjoyed the most were the cheap beaters my favourite was a 63 Dodge Dart 2Dr 6cyl auto (the only option it had) got it for free put a few hundred bucks in it and drove it everywhere for 3 years till a friend needed a car and I sold it. Have looked for another for years but the ones I find are to nice. (Not enough character.)
  23. I did select custom as well as the fog cargo combination.
  24. I would be interested in a dual sport bar one on the right side of the column. Possibly having the lights showing opposite directions to indicate front and rear facing lights on the sport bar. Your prototype looks very good nice work! Any idea of the cost? Didn't see that. Thanks.
  25. I bought my 87 Comanche Sport Truck on 7-13-87 in Libertyville Illinois. It's a 4WD 5sd 4.0L short bed base model with preferred option group Colorado Red with 10 spoke aluminum wheels. I added factory vent Windows, factory truck sport bar, jeep floor mats, factory fog lamps, factory bed lamp, retractable under hood lamp, factory splash guards and Ziebart rustproofing. I still have all the original paperwork, window sticker, key knockouts, both sets of keys, dealer keytag with the stock number on it as well as all the invoices for all the things I added. The truck currently has 224750 miles on it, it is still mostly original with the exception of maintenance type things even the clutch is still original with the exception of the throw out bearing/slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. I have been getting it back in shape to be a daily driver again so far so good. Still runs and drives good. Just like all those years ago when I got it. Thanks to all the people in this Club lots of good and useful information here!
