  1. Took the old girl to meet Dzimm and Pete today. It was awesome to talk Jeeps with Jeep people. This was the longest trip I have made in her since I bought her. The trip was awesome! The old girl drivers awesome on the interstate. Did 65 to 75 MPH with not a bit of shake in the steering wheel. It was about 150 miles round trip. I also rolled past 111111 miles on the odometer. What a great day!
  2. Jeremy is an awesome guy! They use the US Motorworks pump on their Cherokee unit and have had good luck with it. I removed my driveshaft to install the pump but that was it. I think you could do it with the shaft in but it's way easier with it out of the way.
  3. I have not received a call back. I will try again in Monday. I don't have any close ups of the potentimeter sorry.
  4. I have them on mine and like them. Been on there a little over a year and still sits about the same as when I installed them.
  5. I would guess CPS and your meter is reading correctly. There have been multiple posts of crap new sensors.
  6. I plan on running it to empty then filling up from there. Both measurements were in my driveway which is mostly flat. I did call them and update them about the fuel arm. It really doesn't bother me if it's a little inaccurate. Empty will always be empty. My original was kinda finicky anyway. Full to half tank seemed just over 1/3 of a tank and the bottom half seemed like the other 2/3rds.
  7. It was too wide to fit down in the groove. The one I reused was narrower. I used Vaseline in the seal and the old one went back on nicely.
  8. I just went to the gas station and added 5 gallons. My fuel gauge now reads almost full. I will update as I use and get fuel.
  9. I called he's in the warehouse. Waiting for a call back and I will update. Your in Indiana correct?
  10. Not really. I'm guessing they would need an example if the outlets are different. If the only thing needed was the correct sweeping fuel sender I would guess they could make those. I can call the again if someone had an HO version they could let them model after. Jeremy was awesome to talk to. When we thought the resistance was backwards he said it would take about 6 weeks to make it correct. But they just had it listed wrong. It is Renix values.
  11. So I got a new sending unit from MTS Company today. I got it installed and it works awesome. Now I just need to put the drive shaft back in and go get some gas!
  12. Got mine today and it is in and working. I did a full write up on it.
  13. Part 2 The new float arm length. OEM float arm length. With the sending unit in. The gauge reads just below 1/2 tank and the OEM was on 1/2 tank. So in the end yes you can buy a new Renix fuel sender!
  14. So I got my new sending unit from MTS Company today. Got my old pump out in a hurry. Then the comparisons started. It is a almost perfect. The only sight difference is the length of the fuel gauge sender arm. It does read resistance correct for a Renix. It fit awesome. The fuel gauge is only slightly lower that my OEM sender. The pump is super quiet. An awesome small company in Iowa! How would of thought they would make a complete sending unit? JPSU-6P is the part number. That is complete with fuel pump. Leave the P off for just the sender. $160.45 shipped with tax. Just the sender is $89.99 Sender with pump, sock, seal, & lock ring. The lock ring didn't fit on my Spectra tank. I reused the old one. I'm guessing it would fit on a stock tank. Empty resistance reading .9 OHM's on a scale of 200 Full resistance 88.5 OHM's New and old. My pressure line tube is almost ready to fall off. Connector end. I like how they ran the ground through the connector. It's not on the outside of the sender. This is awesome for us rust belt guys.
  15. Have you checked fuel pressure? My 4.0 did the same thing with a bad fuel pressure regulator.
  16. Seems like allot of truck for what their asking. If wasn't dead set on a 2wd for my second MJ this would be a good deal.
  17. Hopefully like all things good it will be worth the wait.
  18. Got good news and bad news today. Bad news is won't have fuel pump till Monday. Good news is I have Monday off to put it in.
  19. Like the video. I laughed a little when you said the seat feel through the floor. Mine did the same thing on my XJ.
  20. That's a special kinda special!
  21. Agreed! Game changer!
  22. With this in mind my gauge may be more accurate than I thought. If the light comes on at 3 gallon and 10 makes it 3/4 it's accurate. 13.5 gallons would be 3/4 of an 18 gallon tank. Thank you for that information.
  23. My thought is if it sweeps correctly it can't be more inaccurate than my OEM sender. Mine currently goes from gas light on to 3/4+ with 10 gallons. Their site says it's for the 18 and 23.5 gallon tanks. They add the pump after depending on 4 or 6 cylinder.
