  1. Congratulations!! That is a beautiful truck!
  2. I replaced mine with Pioneer and it bounces a little. Cable lube seemed to help. Make sure it is secured in a couple places will help also.
  3. I have found AutoZone is usually cheaper on dorman than all the others. We have Napa, AutoZone, O'Reilly's, and a few independent. I work at a dealership so I ended up buying parts there that are available.
  4. Dorman make the new bottle. My O'Reilly's had one in a day.
  5. I understand completely but if your not going to keep it I doubt you will get all the extra $$ back out of it. It is a very good looking truck.
  6. Possibly just replace the mirror head? http://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&urlLangId=-1&productId=51040&urlRequestType=Base&langId=-1&catalogId=10002
  7. 2 wheel drive. Is what I believe he was referring to.
  8. IMHO- Fresh paint and trans rebuild would be all I would do. That is if you can get the paint done very reasonably which it sounds like you can.No need to fix what's not broken. Factory correct color on the paint also. Not allot of people are going to spend over $10K on a 30+ year old truck. Most of the built ones that are over $10k that are for sale have been for sale a while.

You can only arrange three letters so many ways before you start over.
  11. I'm just glad the shirts come in 3X.
  12. I would say a manual every time. But I just like driving a stick. I feel more in control.

I will try to get scans of the parts manuals that decipher the VIN and see if we can get them somewhere everyone can access them.
  14. I think it's been asked but about chance of hoodies in 3X?
  15. More pictures please. You should add your VIN in the registry. That is going to be a fun ride!!

    KOH Comanche

That is a amazing looking truck!
  17. They are. I had bolts in there that I might go back to. Actually thinking about making some bolts with a washer and a wing nut welded to it. The NOS retainers just feel brittle.
  18. Awesome! Glad it was of use.
  19. Good take on a classic.
  20. This is the Renix cover and the elusive clips.
  21. I've seen three in the town I love in and that's it. Mine I believe it's the only one that is driven constantly. The only other ones I've seen I had to drive to Dzimms house to see his and Pete's 1/2 a Comanche.
  22. A total of 190,446 Comanches were made during its production run. That is from Wikipedia.
  23. Welcome. Glad I could help.
  24. I'm guessing 12 and 18 gauge. Not 100% sure the word were in the connectors when I got them. The larger matches some 12 gauge I had paving l laying around. The smaller wire is just a little bit smaller than the 16 gauge I have laying around so I would guess 18.
  25. Yep I hear those words allot!!
