    Tool Talk

The vase is from my wedding. We had real flowers for the wedding this was just the prototype. The lantern I have had for as long as I can remember. The screwdrivers you can see are only a small part of my collection. I have a drawer full in the tool box and another full set not in the picture. My plan was to make a useable bench with everything in arms reach. That is an amazing painting.

    Tool Talk

I would like to start this of with I am a hobbyist mechanic. I work on cars because I love old Jeeps, and if you drive old Jeeps you have to work in them.Just so you know where I'm coming from. I got this Ryobi cordless brushless grinder for Christmas. So far I am fairly impressed. The guard has a nice lever to push to rotate it around. No screw to loosen. The tool to change the disc is stored in the handle. I can turn the power switch on wearing leather gloves also. The tool storage is just something all tools should have. I am a little biased I have quite a few Ryobi tools and plenty of batteries. It's an addiction similar to Jeeps only cheaper.
  3. I would have to keep it. Just to nice to part out. I also like the faded paint patina.

    Yanked?

    Agreed.
  7. Walker does make a nice system for these trucks. I did the same in mine but used a Thrush muffler and it sounds good.

If the Comanche came out in mid August of 85 this truck would have been in the first month of production. Welcome to the club. Wonder how it made it's way too France?
  13. Very good looking dogs. Brindle always gets me to. The Fawn one made me do a double take. My cousin has his twin.
  14. Truck info is a big help with questions like this you can add them to your signature. You go to account, Then account settings, then settings area to add them.
  15. http://cruiser54.com Go here and do 1-5 it is a must for a Renix. I would test the CPS. That test is also on the website above.
  16. The red wire doesn't go to the coil only the two plugs. This had been a problem for a few people on here. The red wire would be for the under hood light if it had one.
  17. That's a long build sheet compared to most of the 88's.
  18. Sorry I meant lifters my bad.
  19. The worst part is they make a ton of roller rocks that are having problems also.
  20. Didn't really work on the truck but I finally cleaned the garage. It only took me two days to get it done. I also finally installed my new vise I bought a year ago. I finally have a clean bench. New vise next to the old stripped out vise. The poor little guy never stood a chance. I also opened my Christmas present. Cordless brushless Ryobi grinder. I wish every grinder handle held the tool to change the disc! This is just a great idea.
  21. Agreed. It's a very good looking wheel. The paint to match could look really good.
  22. Wow!!
  23. Mine did the same thing. I replaced the clutch, slave cylinder, pilot bearing, and flywheel. When I bought the truck the guy said his son didn't like driving a stick. What I think he meant was his son didn't know how to drive a clutch. The clutch was burnt so bad it looked like glass and the flywheel wasn't too much better. No more jerking after that.
