Can Spell Comanche

Can Spell Comanche (2/11)

  1. Extremely smashed up Comanche set down in the Aurora, CO Upull about a month ago.
  2. 1989 Jeep Comanche SWB Build date: 4-89 Current Location: Colorado Springs, CO UPull junkyard Probably picked over by now, but was fortunate enough to see it on its first day in the yard. Super clean bed. Extremely disgusting interior.
  3. There is a short bed Comanche in the Colorado Springs, CO Upull junkyard. The bed is in pristine condition, I assume the interior is too but couldn’t verify because it is covered in disgusting mouse stuff. But, you might give them a call and see if they are willing to pull it from the yard and sell it whole (unsure if legally allowed to). Not too far from the middle of Kansas. It is also right at the end row of vehicles so it’d be quite easy to pull out I think. Hope it can be saved.
  4. At Denver Upull
  5. I always thought that once it ended up in the yard that is was done for, but I actually saw on Facebook not too long after I posted this that someone ended up buying the shell! So hopefully it will live on again.
  6. Thought about it but they’re a pain to cut out!
  7. Set down in the Albuquerque junkyard. First photo is from the junkyard website as it arrived, rest of them are as the Jeep sits today.
  8. At Denver Upull. Very clean, very picked over.
  9. Comanche at Upull yard in Albuquerque. Beautifully rust free as is typical for New Mexico. Bed was in great shape, one small dent in lower right. Someone really wanted the cab I guess.
  10. Set down in the Colorado Springs junkyard a couple weeks ago. These pictures are from today. Likely a couple of weeks left before it gets crushed. Good slider window (no gasket) still present. Remaining interior trim was hacked up. Bed had decent damage to the driver rear corner and holes in the bed.
  11. How does one send you money?
  12. Oh man, I followed your XJ builds religiously on jeepforum. You just do absolutely fantastic work, I’m excited to see you’re doing a Comanche. Already looks great!

Ha! I logged in to put the vin number up, and lo and behold it’s already here. Glad to know some of the other parts got snagged. I was the guy that took the headliner.
  14. Interested for a SWB as well!
  15. It’s black... I pulled it out to take a second look. Unfortunately I didn’t check out the dash, I meant to grab the lower trim section of it but didn’t. Vin tag on the door was faded.
