I painted my CJ-7 with implement paint. Minneapolis Moline gold is a nice Orange color. It has held up great. I'm planning on painting the MJ with implement black.

OEM Rear Brake Hard Lines

Eastwood also has a flare tool that is awesome. Never had to cut off a bad flare, just good flares to put the fitting on. I redid all my lines except master cylinder to distribution block. Use one roll from Amazon and these tools from Eastwood. -

I keep some packaging also. I also like to keep the shipping label. This is the label for the shift knob I bought. Same dealer had it in the shelf since 2/12/99. -

Congratulations!! That is an absolutely beautiful truck. -
It was definitely quick and nasty. It was the same way here. Sunny skies to the worst wind I've seen in Iowa. I'm pretty sure I'm far enough south that we got a mild version.
-
Mine did the same thing. The line from the fuel pump to the sending unit fell off.
-
Any automotive fuel pressure gauge will work. The injectors don't work correctly without 30 PSI. When the house from the fuel pump to the sender hose feel of mine I was getting fuel, just not enough pressure.

I can get behind the exterior. I like the big doors. The interior in the other hand, not so much. -
Have you checked fuel pressure yet?

IMHO I think the Old Peugeot got a bad wrap. It's a light duty transmission in a light duty truck. It's was never meant to handle 31's let alone anything bigger. When you throw a set of 35's at it and beat on it constantly something will always give. Mine works quite well in my truck. Redline MT90 made it shift nicely. Most noticable in the fine Iowa winter. With that being said. I still search Facebook and Craigslist daily for a good donor Cherokee AX-15. -
Welcome to the club. Rear would be a Dana 35. The Dana 30 is the front axle. Looks like a nice start for sure. Be sure to add your information in your signature. This let's everyone know what your working on when you post.

80 always seems to be the stopping point for bad weather and snow.

We got some wind but not the super crazy kind. We didn't lose power at work or home. Good to hear your power is back.

Not a ton of damage here. Sister in-laws power line was ripped off the side of her house. One of the guys at work left early to see how much roof he was missing. Besides that just some limbs down.

Brake upgrades - start with this
JMO413 replied to ghetdjc320's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
After changing out my old master and booster with new ones I completely agree. My master cylinder seemed to have a slight leak and the booster was growing some nasty looking stuff. So I bought a master/booster assembly. This was just factory replacement parts. My brakes are now awesome and all four corners will lock up. I debated on the dual diaphragm swap, but after the results I got I see no need. -
Well what should have been a quick and easy job turned into a 2 day debacle. I have always had a problem with my master cylinder leaking on the rear brake portion. I thought it was the leaky wheel cylinder and then a less than great brakes line a PO had installed. But still again the pot for the rear was dry. So I decided it was master cylinder time. While I was at it I decided it was getting a booster also. That decision was made when I found you could buy them together. Booster and master cylinder combo. So yesterday I started in on what should have been a fairly simple job. Then it hit the fan. Off came the master cylinder to see this nastiness. Not sure what this sience experiment was. With the master cylinder or if the way I was able to see that the PO had just pinched the line when the did the load sense valve delete. Went and got the correct plug. Then I figured out why they just pinched it off. It was beyond stuck. So out came the distribution block. With it out I was able to remove the stuck line. Then I had to replace the line to the left front. It was replaced by the PO also and was no where near correct. The I replaced the right front and actually ran it correctly across the engine compartment. The PO had it basically straight across the back of the engine. Then I found this nice melted wire at the brake light switch. It came off okay and got a new connector end. The booster went in nicely along with the master cylinder after I bench bleed it. Got everything installed and bleed. Then I noticed the brake pedal was horrible. Short story to a ton of bad words and repeated bleeding. The rod from the booster to the master was not adjusted correctly. After 3 or so adjustments it is almost perfect. I figured buying them together it would have been adjusted correctly. I now have the lightest break pedal ever! The pedal is easy to push and the brakes are more responsive than ever. Went for a test drive and got some gravel. She will now lock up all four corners. Looks good and works even better.

While you were testing the coil did you clean all the connectors? Both to the ICM and coil itself. -
