  1. Great Pic! Love to see #2 in the background... Bumper turned out REAL nice Wade!
  2. Nice score Guys!
  3. To the left of the coolant expansion tank, under the bracket that holds the tank. Fits perfectly and the hose is plenty long to get there...
  4. I made that rear bumper :peek:
  5. JCR Offroad, Kalamazoo, Mi www.jcroffroad.com
  6. If you ever need to tie a load down above the cab of the truck, those roll bar light tabs work great to secure it (I haul my canoe around that way, works great!)
  7. ...Sprayed on bed-liner is nice. I'm not talking about the crap in the paint can or the spray bombs either. Get it done at a body shop and you'll never have to touch it again... On the other hand, I do wish I hadn't had that done to mine when I think about modifying the bumper, welding new stuff on it and whatnot. I'm pretty much stuck with what it is now... Either way its looking good and going to look amazing once its done. :clapping:
  8. Not really. Thats WAY more than I would pay for one, and I consider myself to be a Chrome 10 slot grille connoisseur... The most I would pay is $40 for one and that is one that is OEM, been stored its whole life and still wrapped in it's original plastic bag. After all, these are just chunks of plastic, aren't they? :hmm:
  9. I bet that was pretty scary to wake up to. Hoping the best for ya buddy! Best thing is that you've got a good nurse to take care of ya when you get back home :)
  10. My Dad just had some knuckles done, $15 each for knuckles, I imagine pitman arms are the same... If I buy the reamer its $75... :dunno:
  11. Got the Knuckles cleaned up, ready to drop off at JCR Offroad to have them ream them once I get my pitman arm for this whole project. Still himming and hawwing over which shafts to get...
  12. I don't know how many of you guys are dark beer drinkers (I sure am). I can arrange to bring a six pack of the good stuff from when I was at college in the UP. Any takers? If not I'll still get it for myself.
  13. Seller lists it as a D35, but I think it looks like a D44... :dunno: http://madison.craigslist.org/pts/1568159742.html
  14. FYI - I saw a truck exactly like this one today when I was getting groceries in Verona. It was a red eliminator, only this one was 2wd and it was rusted up real good. It even had a piece of nasty green carpet bungeed onto the grille for the winter! Just thought you would like to know cause you are now in the cool guy "red eliminator" club...
  15. Less than 2 weeks!
  16. Why? Find another one?
  17. I am. I've got 3.5" backspacing on them. Like CW says, not many people out there running them. I've got a 5" lift and a Dana 30 and XJ Dana 44 for axles and they do fit in the wheel wells when the truck is flexed, but they are tight.
  18. A worn chain gives the transfer-case a clicking, whamming, banging or popping noise when its under heavy load and engaged in 4wd - hi or lo. You can sure feel it when you drive the Jeep too! Before you throw too much money into this one... If you are looking for a good t-case in the end, why not just go buy a good one? I've found that the best Jeeps to get a t-case out of in the junkyards are the ones with the CAD front axle because they aren't spinning the front driveshaft everywhere that the Jeep has gone. I chose my case when I got one from the yard for parts and the internals of the CAD front axle case I got looked like new! So why not just go get one of these? I bought mine for $150 (they had to pull it - wouldn't let me) and it was ready to run as is.
  19. CW, I'm having issues right now with my '90 MJ's water pump. Its good enough to drive around town now, but I don't want to take it any farther than that. I just threw some serious coin at a Hesco water pump. http://www.hesco.us/shop.asp?action=det ... catId=7967 Its on its way right now, hopefully get it in sometime next week. I'm hoping it'll be worth all the effort and cash I'm putting forth for it. I'll let you know what I think about it. - Brent

    What yuh think

Guys up here in the midwest would KILL to pay $100 and bring that one home. Looks like a solid truck to me!
  21. The chain is the most common wear item for 231's. I'd take it apart quick and check the chain. Way easier to do on a bench top than under the vehicle... You already know how to take one apart, they are EASY to work on!
  22. Is it a 4 cyl or 6 cyl?
  23. :shake: Can't quit can ya Pat... :brows:
