    Roll Call!

    Very nice!
  2. Perfect! I’m only on 31s with an LSD rear in my MJ, but I’m willing to use rock sliders a little bit. If we end up doing more aggressive trails, I’d be just as happy parking my truck and jumping in with someone else too.
  3. I agree, that seems like a great timeline
  4. ITS BEEN FOUND!!! The guy my dad sold it to still has it. It doesn’t sound like he’s ready to sell it, but my dad is the first to know should that ever change. This car is my Dad’s equivalent to my MJ, except cooler to be honest. This was the car he built in high school. It’s the car all of his friends remember and the one he most regrets selling. This car is probably the biggest reason why my MJ and Eagle are forever cars for me.
  5. I just created that thread, I've linked it below
  6. This topic got started in this thread here: Let's start thinking about ComancheClub going to Moab. Mainly, time of year and what kind of wheeling we want to do. I'm not sure if I can do Spring 2027 for sure, but any of the other times work for me. I'd prefer mild stuff, but I should have a set of rock sliders by then and I won't be afraid to use them. Anyways, fill out the poll if you're interested so we can come up with a rough number of CC folks. List of trails we have expressed interest in (likely to become some sort of itinerary as we get closer): Rimrocker Trail (Montrose, CO to Moab, UT). We would have to hit this either before or after Moab. https://rimrockertrail.org/ Fins N Things This is a good trail for people new to Moab. Lots of slickrock and some fun hills. Not too difficult for a vehicle close to stock. There is a day use/week use fee of like $10 to access this trail. Hell's Revenge A favorite trail for many. It has some optional obstacles to challenge more built rigs. Lots of optional lines lets you do the easy route while being challenging for more built rigs. An XJ on 32s and 3-4" lift has zero trouble making it on some of the harder lines. Hell's gate is intimidating but not technically challenging. Same day/week use fee as Fins. Poison Spider A difficult trail for more built rigs. But you get to a scenic overlook at the top of the bluffs west of town that is pretty cool. Top Of The World A rough trail and you need to be built a little. But the overlook is pretty stunning. Google top of the world and you can see the pictures people take. It's a bit of a drive to get there but worth it. Chicken corners Easy trail with scenic views. There's a cool overlook that is good for a photo shoot. Onion Creek This one winds through a valley with high walls. Many water crossings. It's a fun trail. Gemini Bridges An easier trail that has scenic stops at natural rock bridges.

    Roll Call!

I want to see more pics of that thing! Beautiful truck!
  8. Alright, once I'm finished up with school in the middle of May, I'll start looking into Moab more. This oughta be an adventure!
  9. I could hopefully do 27. 28 for sure, but 27 is decently likely depending on the time of the year.
  10. Agreed! The payload capacity is excellent, but the towing capacity is very disappointing.
  11. Ok, I can’t lie, that’s an incredibly beautiful sight there. Now I’m a little disappointed it didn’t work out.
  12. Interesting! Please report back if it works.
  13. I dig an Avalanche. My grandparents had two, but I only remember one of them. Visibility out of the rear isn't great, but other than that, they are a great idea. Plenty of seating for the whole family and enough room to haul enough stuff for a family road trip, but then when its time to do truck stuff, the rear seats can be folded down and the bulkhead folded to be the equivalent of a standard cab long bed pickup.
  14. Dad’s plow truck is down right now because it’s getting some front end work and some leaks fixed. Naturally, that means that the largest snowstorm of the year had to happen. Oliver to the rescue! No, that’s not a snow blade. No, it did not do well. Yes, it was very cold. Yes, Dad did have a couple of sketchy times where he hit ice patches and had zero control. Almost skewered the shop with the loader due to an ice patch. Nobody and nothing got hurt though, which is all that matters.
  15. In my brother’s LS swapped 83 J10, it ended up being a bad fuel pressure regulator. He had the same issue.
  16. I’d put it on every seam you can see. Even the factory didn’t get them sealed up perfectly
  17. Maybe do a gasket match port job on the manifolds and cylinder head too
  18. I’d throw a water pump at it and thoroughly inspect the freeze plug and possibly replace them. If you pull the head, I’d at least relap the valves too.
  19. CC meetup in the future at one of those?
  20. Somehow I missed this, those would be neat too
  21. I'd pass on that one too. Now if GM would make one of these brand new, my wallet would be in trouble.
  22. The other problem is the price! New Wranglers are absolutely ridiculous in price. From what I've seen, you can't even touch a Rubicon for less than $50k for the most part. When the JLs first came out, I want to say that the base price was somewhere around $29k. Now the base price is closer to $39k from what I've found.
  23. So that's where those pics are from!
  24. That looks beautiful!
  25. I really enjoyed the Mojave Rod series!
