  2. It almost looks like the sway bar is too narrow or the brackets on the axle are too wide.
  3. Here is a link to exactly what I have. I've put about 6,000 miles on mine and it was used when I got it. I've had to replace the ignition control module, but that's it. I do not know how many miles the unit has on it, but it has been pretty great. I remember reading about Comanches in Peterson's and thought that they were awesome. My dad's friend who was a younger guy and a logger showed up one day with it, brand new. About four years later there was an ad in the paper for a Comanche and my dad and I went to look at it. It turned out to be his friend's truck and he bought it. It had been pretty well used at this point and my dad continued to use it as a logging rig for a few more years. I never missed a chance to borrow it and go hot rod it when I got a chance. Fast forward a few years and I had a job logging and needed a truck. My dad bought a new F-150 and I bought the Comanche from him. After my logging job was done, the Comanche continued to be my daily driver until the end of 2005 when I bought a new truck. Heather even Drove it for a few years while I drove our 1969 Chevy Nova. In fact, I proposed to her on it's tailgate on the beach. During most of this time it had a Rancho 3" lift and BFG 31's. The Comanche went back to my dad for the next 7 years, until it was worn out enough, (over 250,000 hard miles) that he was ready to get rid of it. Of course, I wanted it back. It sat around neglected for a few years while I worked on other projects. The turning point was COVID and the Gambler 500. We now had much more time on our hands and decided to participate in the Oregon Gambler. Instead of spending money buying some old beater, we decided to put the time and effort into the Comanche. Wow, did it snowball from there! We bought a used roof top tent on Marketplace and we had a new favorite hobby, exploring remote places and camping in the MJ! Now the MJ needed a thorough refresh if we were going to take it on trips thousands of miles from home and Heather was 100% behind whatever time and money that required! I tried to replace every coolant, fuel and brake hose on the MJ as well as any other part that I felt might fail due to age and leave us stranded. Fast forward a few years and the MJ has taken us on an epic 3000 mile trip to Mojave, Death Valley, Route 66, Valley of Fire, ETC, a 2000 mile Death Valley trip and too many 1000ish mile trips to count. We now spend our vacations on driving adventures and a little over a year ago, Heather decided that she wanted to capture them for YouTube. That has brought another expensive and time consuming hobby into the equation, but she really enjoys doing it and we have met quite a few new friends because of it. Camera equipment is expensive and we had to replace everything after the dip in the lake a few years ago, (Heather still hasn't fully gotten over that).   9. It’s a shame that Walker doesn’t make the exhaust systems anymore. I’ve had one on my truck since 2019 with no issues. I think it sounds pretty decent too

  11. There is a blanket between them, but it isn't big enough and still rattles. I'll get something figured out before the long trek back.
  12. And I picked up some inner fenders for one of the J10s. Doesn’t get much better than AZ metal. Now I just have to listen to them rattle 1700 miles home
  13. That’s really good then! My brother has the hood bar for a razor grille, if you need one I can see if he’d sell it. For what it’s worth, I’m running a used DUI distributor in my Eagle and it’s been great. The only time I lost spark was when the ignition control module went out.
  14. Works perfectly for me. I wasn’t getting them for a while though a couple years ago (hard to believe I’ve been here that long), turns out they were being sent to my spam folder.
  15. They probably would’ve, but we have another low mileage 350 that will get swapped in if this one needs head gaskets. This engine should have machine work done if the heads are getting pulled, and a stock TBI 350 isn’t really worth that

  22. Build Thread- Carbon Copy Sport Truck Year/Model - Drivetrain- 2WD- all original 4.0 with AW-4 with 139k miles. Cooling- Original, AC converted to R22 Electrical/Ignition- Factory Suspension/Steering- 2” Rough Country Interior- all original except radio. Donor dash from XJ and bench seat recovered. Brakes- Factory Lighting- All original but Roll Bar lights are old school KC Daylighters Exterior- Changed color to Polymetal Grey and gloss black trim (same as my daughter’s carbon edition Mazda 6) Wheel & Tires- original painted gloss black Misc- OEM Roll bar added, found in Tennessee. Rhino lined bed Best MJ story- First vehicle I ever purchased new on my own back in 1988. Very fortunate to get her back in 2020. Met and first dated my wife 34 years ago in this truck. That’s the only reason she’s letting me fix it up. Maybe she thinks I’ll leave in it now? Lol CC is Awesome! Why? Comanche Club is the best source of information when you’re rebuilding the greatest mid size truck ever produced. And it’s still more Jeep than anything being produced today.
