  1. Filler pieces for the sides of the cowl were spot welded in And getting it to line up And the other side. with those pieces the firewall could be finished as well.
  2. Now actually getting the firewall to fit was an interesting endeavor.. We had to use a portapower to stretch the front of the body to get everything to line up. Matching up the floor seam. And then burned in. Showing how well the welds went in from the trans tunnel.
  3. Well due to the overall condition of the "new" subframe we ended up not going with it. It was bent and tweaked. So we ended up pulling the original one back into the garage and patching up the mounts. And back under the car. Getting things to line up was both easy and difficult. The firewall and cowl had holes for you to thread a bolt into so we used that to help line things up for welding.
  4. "Original" subframe removed. Notice the mounting spots are all blown out. We picked up another subframe that had better mounts to use for mockup for the firewall. Firewall mockup.
  5. I suppose I should update this since I haven't in a while. Haha Progress done long ago, getting the body off the jig. Engine hoist is good for more than just engines apparently! We put the axle under it so j clips installed for the leaf spring plates. And on the ground
  6. No, no test drive. There was several months I didn't touch the car. Due to another project and also burnout. I couldn't bring myself to touch the car. But we are gearing up to jump back on it. I've started doing more work, fitting some smaller panels and just waiting for the warmer weather. Plan to opoxy the car before I start welding more panels on
  7. There actually is! It just hasn't been updated in a while due to burnout.. but I'm getting back into it so will be getting updated soon
  8. Yeah.. it's a pursuit alright. A pursuit to make these panels fit/work.
  9. My garage is full of comanche parts, a 7ft bed, tools, and every panel you would need to build yourself a 67-69 pontiac firebird along with the skeletal structure of a 69 firebird in rebuild.
  10. Id try cleaning up that rattle can job. Maybe mineral spirits or something similar
  11. Just so you know what to look for. This is a factory swb sport bar
  12. Love that color combo and interior. She's pretty!
  13. Zooming in kind of potatoed the photo but where I circled is where your map sensor is located. Indicating a 97+ harness/ throttle body and probably engine as well
  14. Mobile down the road from my house, which actually has fair prices is 3.99 for 87 and I just paid 4.59!!! A gallon for diesel!!! In Massachusetts by the way Found a station About 20 minutes out that was 3.89 for diesel on Tuesday. But God only knows how much that's jumped up since then.
  15. It's definitely the old 95 style that has the map sensor on the firewall. The 97 style had them next to the throttle body. My brother had a 98 cherokee. I used to have a 96. It all definitely starts to blur together after a while. Haha
  16. Unfamiliar to me. And wasn't in the registry either. I just hope doesn't go to a yard. There's quite a few bids on it right now.
  17. It's not the super rare ram 1500 package comanche?! That's okay, even without the cleaning up I could figure out what didn't belong. Haha
  18. That would take a lot of work. And time. You know what, I forgot I have a copart account. I may have forgot my password but that's another issue. As soon as I get my account straightened out I'll get that full vin.
  19. Thanks for the option breakdown! And all the other ones for that matter too.
  20. Hahaha I don't blame you, main point is another one found.
  21. COPART AUCTION Sorry can't get the rest of the vin on this one.. Long Beach CA Olympic edition! She's rough though. Someone put her through the ringer. Ugly exhaust wtf?? Ruined interior. https://www.copart.com/lot/69520571/salvage-1988-jeep-comanche-pioneer-ca-long-beach

  23. Worth a shot to try and get whole! At the very least you can say you tried instead of wishing you did right? If that front license plate bracket is metal thats pretty rare
  24. That eagle I found may have been a stick. I know I found a spirit that was a stick. If have to go back and look. I didn't take photos of the eagle.
