  1. Thats ok. That’s what this forum is for, to share the history and knowledge of these trucks. Even have a whole rebuild book on the trans too.
  2. Its almost like the PO wanted a Dakota but "settled" on the MJ instead. What an oddity. But damn that's clean. How does the underside look?
  3. Congrats man! I have enjoyed watching your build since you first contacted me. Looking forward to more!
  4. Few more days and y’all will get to see some awesome goodies go into this survivor.
  5. Sounds good! I appreciate it gentlemen!
  6. No worries! I think @SatiricalHen has a lead on a rear end caps for me. Appreciate it though!
  7. No worries. Appreciate ya lookin out though!
  8. Are you sure those aren’t XJ rear caps?
  9. Is it common for MJ owners to not make the best of choices when getting MJ specific parts? I'm starting to think so. Anyways this bumper is mostly intact with light surface rust. Only the support failed and so I will fabricate something new out of the old bumper that was on my truck. Took a few days but I cut all the welds loose. Now to make the bumper straight and rust free.
  10. Sounds good! Let me know what you come up with.
  11. I know I'm asking for some rare stuff but you guys usually pull through with leads or info. Anyways I'm looking for the OEM rear bumper end caps. Preferably just a right side end cap and the hard ware. Not sure what I'm gonna do about the hard ware yet but I have an idea. Let me know if you have anything.
  12. OEM Renix stuff too are getting hard to come by.
  13. I don't know why I didn't think of that but too late now lol. I probably thought you couldn't mount them without the big bezel but evidently you can. Looks good!
  14. Didn't do the full bezel? I like your idea better but how well does it hold in place?
  15. I know nothing on those MJ's but I have the same ad. Makes me kinda want to switch to Pennzoil but I got it because weather its MJ history or a work of art, it is MJ memorabilia.
  16. Got a factory MJ bumper!!! Havent torn into the package yet but the underside is rusted. I have a spare bumper out back I will use to repair the rust.
  17. I strongly recommend running through some of the tests here. We boiled it down to his injector being toast but yet still Ωhms out good. Despite being an 86, 87-90 are very much similar other than the Wide Open Throttle switch moving to the P/S pressure switch.
  18. My 2 cents. I have gotten everything I exactly order from them. Yes shipping sucks for the $12 you pay. I remember I wanted to return a grill I bought form them as it was an HO grill and I never got any email back with a shipping label to return the product. But otherwise id give them a 3 and a half stars.
  19. Woo hoo! That's good news to hear! Although I feel I contributed not as much as some of the guys who sent you samples but I was happy to provide what input I could.
  20. Weird, hate it when you find loose or suddenly missing bolts or connections. What baffles me more is I probably had just tested four headlamp delay modules about a week prior to today too.
  21. Well had no headlamps on the way home. Tore everything apart and tested everything for power. Took out the headlight switch and found a nice pristine non melted plug on the other side of the switch(was very surprised). Swapped it with a Mopar switch, no dice. Put the headlamp relay harness back together, still nothing. Decided for the hell of it to clean the ground bolts for the harness and then viola the headlamps are back in business. Don't know why that was a deciding factor for them not to work as I never cleaned the ground bolts to begin with. here's the best acrobatics pic I could get of the plug
  22. He did away with the printed circuit and wired everything directly. Kinda impressive actually.
  23. If the current possible plan falls through I while I'm there I will send you a PM.
