  1. Actually I don't have a rear set of MJ brackets. I mean I have NOS ones installed on my truck I can get some pics of if thats what you would like.
  2. Unfortunately you can't just get the sheaths for those. They come with the buckles. And there arent any more MJ bench buckles left as NOS.
  3. Yeah, I saw the other post on the fuse but wanted to reiterate that before getting into the fun stuff of figuring out the issue.
  4. Ok I see what you were trying to do. The gauge will always return to empty if it’s not getting a signal from the sending unit. Have you checked the fuse that’s for the cluster? Verified the gauge is getting power?
  5. But he’s swapping downward Eagle, what he got is an AX5 from a TJ that has the electric speedo vs his MJ mechanical cable. But the same principal applies, look at the orientation from how the speedo gear is removed from the AX4 and match that when you put it in the 5.
  6. Aftermarket brackets also don't have the extension holes for the hidden winch.
  7. You need to swap out the speedo gear assembly from your AX4 into the 5. Unless you go to swap in anything newer than 91 into your truck, you will have to stay with mechanical speedo. Theres nothing wrong with some old fashioned analog technology. The digital ones are a more tricky to work with anyways and costly as you have to replace the speed sensor if that fails. To where as if a cable fails, then thats all you have to replace.
  8. Yup! They are Warn tow hooks for those who are hunting down new ones.
  9. It would take so much love to bring that one back. Can I have my tail light harness back?(kidding) lol.
  10. Yeah I know but I only ask because I see there’s some CJ stuff still floating at some dealers. I only looked the decal pieces and found some but not everything. Also found a couple waggy parts floating around too.
  11. Sooooo should I start hunting down CJ and SJ stuff?
  12. That didn’t last long. Yet it took me a few months to sell an 81-83 4.2L NOS AC bracket kit.
  13. You could just make some build threads for all the MJs you own and just drop your videos there. That way you don’t have to make new posts in the pub or anything like that.
  14. Where does gauge point to when the engine is running/driving?
  15. What Pete said and I would check out the shape of that indicator, looks like the return spring for it could’ve broke. And that’s the idiot light cluster.
  16. This is the right spot. Do you have the idiot light cluster or a 3/4 cluster? It is recommended to do the ground fixes if they haven’t been performed. As for the gauge itself you can pull he cluster out and unscrew the gauge from the cluster and take a look at the wire windings on the back to see if there’s anything broken. I had a gas gauge do that to me. As for the PRNDL, there’s a clip that comes out of the bottom of the cluster that clips to something on the column that controls the indicator.
  17. Id love to have the set for Chunk. Think I could trade them my crap Chrysler set for those? Lol.
  18. Probably lol. Thats an insane amount for a full set of XJ flaps but they are also AMC ones so I guess its a decent asking price.
  19. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Jeep-Cherokee-Wagoneer-NOS-Model-70-Mud-Guards-Heavy-Rubber-OEM/124529804427?hash=item1cfe8e048b:g:CUYAAOSw3CpgAfsm Anyone want to pool some money together?
  20. If I had to choose between my topper and the tonneau I would choose the tonneau any day. It’s nice, it snaps into the rails that are clamped down to the bed and an added bonus, if you have the bed mat, it can make for a comfy little hideaway to get some shut eye.
  21. I’m sure there’s probably a few junk watches that could work for potential board swaps.
  22. I do indeed. Well did I have a topper now that I am in a love hate relationship with. But I enjoy it and can say it’s well made and worth your money. Looks like it would be an approved factory accessory too. But I would buy a Downey one again.
  23. Neat! I figured it was 86 as it looked different than what I have normally seen and the only PN on it is on the wiring harness as a tag and it says 23.5gal on it. Thats good info to know. Hopefully I will find out the difference and be able to sell the three units as I don't want to hoard them when someone can use them.
  24. When I get to my 23 gallon tank swap, I’ll look at my 16 gallon unit and compare the three to that one. I have an NOS 23 gallon unit that is probably from 86 as it holds a fuel pump but the pipes point straight out. I’ll figure it out soon.
