All I can say is my lazy bum installed all the glass weather strips in with the glass still installed and I hated every minute of it. Took me a few hours to do one door and a trick I learned was to roll the window up as far as you can with one of the weather strips in and then slowly roll down the window while pushing down on the strip to install it.

The 87-90 XJW parts for the front header are no longer available. Supposedly Crown makes the lamp bezel but not the side markers. Same with the tail lamps and turn signals up front. Junk yard at best to find all those parts.

As much as we all love the idea of owning something “rare”, it’s only uncommon. You have a Jeep Comanche, “X” trim level with 4 wheel drive made by AMC|Jeep corporation. MJ is the body code for the Comanche used from 86-92. As to the production numbers of trim levels is unknown and I wouldn’t say 40 of just the “X” trim was made. No one is saying you have a Dodge because Dodge had the AN Dakota at the time the MJ was around.

No problem! The body code stands out to me. TS meaning it is 2wd sport trim MJ of some sort. But it is a pretty long build sheet for an 89 and sport is just a level before the "highline" trim body code according to Chrysler. I would think this is a well optioned and hopefully a well loved MJ.
