Yours was one of them and I was sad when Chrysler gave me the big red VIN NOT FOUND.

Sorry 86 owners.... I have done the last two pages and every MJ is coming up with no VIN found on Chryslers website. VINs still check out in starparts for build sheets and dates but not for the dealer info from Chryslers end.

I was hoping you would say what so I could say chicken butt. My girlfriend would kill me if it pulled a Christine. But yes IT LIVESSSSS! It ran longer than 2 seconds and made hell of a smokey mess. Probably from old crap and combustion chamber cleaner in the chambers that sat for a week or so. Don’t need a new starter but do need a better battery. Transmission also engages as it should and wants to drive but it won’t because I have the trans cooler/radiator removed from the car so it spurts ATF all over the condenser.

Chrysler probably has zones based on major cities. Cars probably go to that zone to be dropped off then probably delivered to the ordering dealer. Makes sense why LA would be used as that code seeing how it would have to leave an LA port.

86-92 has the same setup for mounting the bumper. So you’ll be fine to use any of the other years. Not sure why they list 87-92
