  1. Fair enough. Those were probably the first years to go at cash for clunkers.
  2. 84-86 might be worth a shot to look too. Autos were more common there than the 87+.
  3. Lol. i read this, asked the hell I was reading, wife asked what, told her, she then also proceeded to read this thread.
  4. The hell did you numbskulls dig up? This is one of those threads that should’ve stayed down.
  5. Lol! Happens to the best of us.
  6. Looks like the headlamp. Do you have the relay harness mod done?
  7. I added a flier for the event.
  8. Not a clue. At first it wouldn’t delete using backspace like normal. I then highlighted the blank space, hit delete and it went away.
  9. Well nix this idea then. Learned something new yet slightly aggravating and its not AMCs fault.
  10. Fixed the space issue.
  11. Wait. We’re saying that Chrysler changed the head for the 87-90 YJ specifically?
  12. That I believe. Those new ones are mighty expensive and am looking to stay mostly OEM.
  13. Not exactly an MJ part but just seeing if anyone has one or knows where one is at. They are found on 87-90 YJs with the 258. Exploring other options before buying one off fleabay
  14. Also entirely fair and respectable. Kinda what I did with my 84. I have an 87/88 cluster but I didn’t want to swap it out. Part of me wonders if those circuits can be laminated again. Cause that’s really all it is and the lamination has just failed to adhere.
  15. THATS WHAT THE LETTER CODE MEANS?
  16. What’s sad is you can get reproductions circuits like that for other cars like GMs and even the SJs. But the early XJs you just simply can’t. Which honestly there’s a better upgrade but I respect staying with original year equipment.
  17. I bought one many years ago for about $300. I think it was $300. All I know is when I saw it I did not hesitate to buy it. It’s in good shape and still in good shape.
  18. It kinda is. We’re suspecting at this point that the factory put them on wrong. But the 84-90 years for Jeep, you can put the grill on wrong.
  19. I’ll dig through my stash and see what I have. I know I have a 84-86 cluster or two but not sure exactly what I have. Though, the paper separating is a huge problem with these clusters.
  20. When you turn the MJ to the on position but not crank, can you hear the fuel pump prime? If yes, then it sounds like the relay has failed. If not, something is wrong in the harness.
  21. I’ll goof around with this one tomorrow. I have an idea.
  22. I mean the two go together honestly. Jeeps are from the 80’s cassette was peak popularity, vinyl was dying, CD tech was getting cheaper and more available. Yeah it adds up haha. Somethings though that I’ve learned other than my old soul appreciates vinyl is that a lot of music is more or less lost in that era. Thanks to radio you don’t really hear songs by other groups unless it’s one of their popular pieces. And streaming doesn’t always have every song or every version of a covered song, YouTube is riddled with ads to make listening to music unbearable and having the physical media is nice and says “I own this”.
