  1. Ok here’s a fun one. You can not get new boosters for the V8 ZJ. Now what can one do in this situation? I met a couple the other weekend thanks to an AMC friend who said I’d be able to help them. They got a ZJ that was running and currently has no brakes. They were told the booster is bad. I’m going to confirm that this weekend. But upon searching for a booster, they were told you can not get a new booster. I tested that and lo and behold you can’t! Well damn. Anyhow, I call upon CC to help. Would a WJ booster fit? Would that be considered an upgrade to the ZJ? They want this Jeep to be something their granddaughters can drive and I sure as hell want it to be damn safe and reliable.
  2. Ok my wife put this on about a year or so ago when she was sick and she became addicted to it and so every now and then we watch it. Tombstone and duck! are favorites in the house. I know I’m not old enough but I remember when it was robotwars. But the time and effort that goes into building all these bots is damn crazy. Course think about what we dump into our Jeeps and projects that would otherwise make others think it’s damn crazy as well. Haha.
  3. That is true can’t deny that look.
  4. Goin for a goonies like build? You should watch the mamafratelli Jeep build on YouTube.
  5. I wish I had a pic but they attach at the corners of the lower panel. There should be a small tab sticking up in the metal support of the lower dash that lines up with the fork of the bracket itself and should line up with a hole for the screw to go into. The one on the drivers side is hidden by the e-brake release handle.
  6. That plug given its in the middle makes me think ashtray light. Turn the headlamps on and test for power. If you have power, then it’s the ashtray lamp like I think it is.
  7. Hell yes a chief!!
  8. No you don’t need the kit. You can shorten the wire. Now the one thing the kit does have is the grommet for the wire out the firewall but I suppose one could use anything else.
  9. Yeah it’s pretty neat. Not sure why it wasn’t done early on but something tells me this fix is a literal foreshadow to aftermarket parts being crap.
  10. Well the fix was to eliminate weak signal from the wire to the ECU itself. It has to travel from the CPS to the connector, through the firewall to the ECU which can result in signal drop. Now I do suppose you could keep the connector just in case if the new one fails but shortening the length of wire is said to help with the issue of the signal being weak. I have half the kit somewhere or the full kit. One of the two.
  11. Yes. Legit fix from Chrysler where the kit would allow you to drill a hole in the firewall and do the modification that way.
  12. These are the only other Jeeps I have seen and I’ve seen the blue honcho twice, white one once and the SJ waggy twice. They’re trying to sell it. Also I’m throwing in some AMCs that you don’t see often. There’s 3 AMXs that are always there which is fricken awesome but when’s the last time you saw an ambassador: Or a matador And my friends chopped gremlin Seen this J-truck in the wild And saw a pacer in a yard Thats all I’ve seen minus MJs.
  13. It is a shame. I was hoping with some braking they would go away or at least the smoothness clean up but they did not.
  14. I have a plastic one. I remember I had a long bed one that had the end cap that sold for I think easily $100 and I have a short bed one that’s missing the 7ft cut off line and the curved piece. Fun fact, short bed ones are made from long bed ones, they are just cut down, hence that line….which I don’t think I have a picture of at all. Honestly, not detrimental to have but nice protection.
  15. Oh yeah that’s very true. And Dan said he won’t be there this year. Which is wild cause he always has like 3-5 AMCs there even though he doesn’t have his American collection anymore.
  16. FC-170 at the local cruise in.
  17. Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty. Loved that dumb gag in family guy.
  18. Did the drum brakes on the Eagle today. I had inspected them back in October and knew they needed to be addressed soon and decided today is that day! Yeahhhhh I hoped to get some life back into them but they neglected to do such. Heres when I inspected them Not too bad, some life on them left. Pretty sure they got slightly worse as I used the Eagle more. Out with the old and in with the newish set.
  19. Send it to GM and let them know that their smog era pile of crap lasted that long. I’m impressed.
  20. @ghetdjc320 is the one who was making them.
  21. I don’t think radio is one that was reused. I know Pete deleted some that were reused which is why some of those codes are blank. As far as what radio was stock is a great question since there was so many. But given it says AM/FM/MTR could be a fancy unit. I THINK MTR stands for Magnetic Tape Reader which could be cassette. Unless there’s a code out there that says cassette.
  22. Chrysler should’ve never discontinued the chief packages on either. Nothing says “I command the road and trails” like those graphics.
  23. Hahaha awesome. We have some time. Just sucks that the Jeep version of these body moldings are actually bigger. I also need to go get some chrome that will fit in those groves
