  1. More and more issues pop up. I expected such honestly. Anyhow, ive discovered the cooling system is blocked and the heater section isnt working. Thanks to a seized valve and plugged core. So driving anywhere presently isnt possible but will be soon. I also adjusted the timing cause it dawned on me that it was still set for high altitude vs sea level so I got that adjusted and hoooo boy did the eagle wake up.
  2. Added some cluster parts.
  3. It seems like it’s a problem with just the generic harness. Luckily it’s not to bad but if your expecting a plug n play, it can be a challenge. It did have me scratching my head for a couple hours.
  4. Got some stuff done. Now power steering hose is in, surface for both the valve cover and head are cleaned and prepped and ready to go on. Waiting on a new rocker bridge with stud for the cover. Not sure if I’m gonna replace the rear bridge just because of how much of a pita it was to get the cover off. Also got the headlamp relay installed. At first it didn’t work right. Funny things happened, brights were dimmed or all four would be on regardless of if the headlamps or highbeams were engaged. Thanks to @89 MJ and I, we were able to do some digging and found that the harnesses are known to come wired wrong. Fixed the wiring at the relays and connector to the eagle harness and we are in business! And damn are they bright!
  5. I’ve heard and seen a lot of chiefs with 4cyls.
  6. I’ve been on the hunt for this one and the 63 Wagoneer that’s out in two colors.
  7. It’s factory. AMC thought that offsetting that nameplate to the drivers side made the Wagoneer a little more fancy. You can find such on the Wagoneer SJ grills in a similar fashion. Fun little fact, despite that nameplate having alignment pins, it’s the same as the one on the rear hatch for 84 and 85 XJs(might be 84 only. 85 had a change to the plastic ones in the middle)
  8. Pic? Is it like this? If so, that’s 84-85 Wagoneer Jeep placement only.
  9. The MJ and the CJ and the old Willy’s wagon/truck are the only ones hot wheels matchbox haven’t done yet. Actually they might have done a Willy’s wagon.
  10. It covers testing sensors to adjustments to diagnostics. It’s an essential manual to have really.
  11. Only used right now.
  12. I’ve got 235 75 15s and at stock and haven’t noticed any issues.
  13. That’s a killer color combo.
  14. I think 90 PSI is just the highest it can produce and could be a pump used in other vehicles. The pressure regulator will take care of the pressure made by the pump. 4-6 psi is low for the TBI. Like you’ll struggle to go anywhere low. Course I didn’t think finding a pump these days was such a challenge.
  15. Just about anywhere. Something to be mindful about with 86 TBI, it has some unique parts such as the metal vacuum lines you mentioned earlier and the sending unit is slightly different in a way that it takes a smaller pump. Unless it’s a late model 86 with a possibility of having the later style unit.
  16. You can replace those with any size vac line you want. Doesn’t have to be metal but might last longer if they are.
  17. Wait?! There’s a little eagle animation?! Fricken sweet!
  18. This makes me wonder if I should check the Eagle for the same thing.
  19. If you’re dead set on using the 84-86 cluster, that Speedo connection is a GM connection(I say GM but it may not actually be GMs and just could’ve been the industry standard). My 79 Firebird has the same connection to its speedometer. Maybe there’s one just long enough from a 4x4 GM that will go in. The SJ Wagoneer might use the same connection too and should have long cables.
  20. You’ll need everything from the donor Jeep to swap the drive train. Trans will not bolt up from 2.5 to 4.0. However if your just trying to do a block swap, any 2.5L should bolt in. But going HO is less steps than dropping in a 4.0. Oh and yours being an 86 there’s a 50/50 chance the firewall will be ready for the 4.0. And you’ll also have to swap the front end to get the 4.0 radiator in there. Yeah you’re better off keeping the 2.5.
  21. I can see such but I am not entirely sure thats the case. One thing I did notice is that the PO replaced the carb for whatever reason with a rebuilt one from holley and I have what I can assume is the second carb for this car and the third is installed and running. As to what happened to the first one is unknown. But both being rebuilt could be anything. There could be substandard parts in the carb and already have worn out. Carb couldve been sold as "rebuilt" but just had gaskets replaced. One thing I do not like about the carb thats in the Eagle is that it looks like the protective housings for the mixture screws are broken off.
  22. Well failed emissions, running rich based on the numbers. Gonna try to lean it out and try again with the Carter carb before committing to a carb swap. Also found a nice pin hole leak in the power steering pressure hose. Glad it’s not the pump or the steering gear. Addressed the sleeve that got mangled from the CV axle exploding. Will need a new tie rod in the future. Hooked up one of the tachs I have laying around and got the idle and stuff dialed in. Now to address its cooling issues as the coolant has turned brown. Probably some build up inside. And for your viewing pleasure, the really pristine 140k interior.
  23. i will have to do that. Looks like the PO's got a new O2 installed rather recently. Also the Weber I have is a 32/36 which is supposed to fit. Might be a good candidate.
  24. Nope. I tried the same method once. messed up the timing.
