  1. Found this poking around FB marketplace. Guy wants over 15k for the heap
  2. There's not really a "lift kit" for 37's unless you plan on just having a pavement princess. Get ready to fab and swap axles. You're venturing down the rabbit hole past 35's.
  3. At least in CO you only have to renew "collector" plates every 5 years. But were dicks and only allow pre 75 vehicles to get those.......
  4. I mean for $300 you're practically losing money not buying it. That's how about 100% of the conversations go in my head with jeeps.
  5. Probably more power too 😁
  6. Check with a local credit union. Most times they are able to do a "cash for title" loan. Tricky part is how to do it for a new purchase. It will require you to take out a personal loan to get the truck, then once you get the title in your name they can "pay off" the personal loan with the new car loan. I've done it a few times. Depending on your credit most times they will loan you the max NADA value. I can't speak to anything Ford as I've never/will never own one . People like them . They're going to be the cheapest trucks for a reason.
  7. Personally, I wouldn't invest time or money in the 4 banger but that's just me. I'd swap in a 4.0 and move on, but again that's just me. People have done it plenty of times and nothing wrong it but for me trying to get up the hill the 4cyl just wouldn't keep up unless I was running forced induction. You could always just keep it in semi stock form and make a sweet street truck. You're going to have to run deeper gears with the 4 vs the 6. Not the end of the world if you're re gearing anyways but you'll be a little more limited. Highest you can run would be 5.13's which isn't really advised on the D30/8.25 but you can. Really 4.88's will be the max and with a 4 banger you're going to be capped at 33's maybe 35's but that's really pushing it.
  8. Umm.....depends. What are you trying to do? Full drivetrain swap? Just axles?
  9. My MJ was lowered before I got it. It just had chopped XJ coils and blocks in the rear. Mine was also 4wd and I just couldn't stomach a lowered Jeep, but eventually I'd love to find a 2 door 2wd XJ to autocross with. Anywho..... You'll want the 02+ WJ calipers, the akebono ones. For the bolt pattern just redrill it on the rotors, or buy 5x5 wheels if you're upgrading. No biggie there You can run a 9" in the rear and it will have a 5x5 too.
  10. 98/99 are the best for the XJ's as a whole but not necessarily the axles. 97+ used the bigger ujoints on the D30 and still was a HP. Also 8.25 went to 29 spline from 27. It will swap but you'll need to reweld perches for the rear. If you're also needing a tranny and t case you're going to have to frankenstein it all together depending on what you currently have.
  11. 2wd WJ swap should be the same. Other than axle shafts and a diff there's not going to be a difference between a 4wd and 2wd. Technically you probably could find a 2wd WJ front, narrow it, possibly notch it so it's not banging on the oil pan if you drop it. Guess it would just depend on how much you want to fab, etc. Here's a 2wd WJ front for reference. Look for the Jeepspeed builds. Few of them will run the D30 2wd fronts
  12. One of the MJ gurus might poke in but my guess is the D35 aka boatanchor. Check and see and that will be the best starting point. If you are just looking for better braking and not doing a full on axle swap a WJ/XJ booster is a great upgrade.
  13. Axle swap would probably be best unless you have a dana 44. AMC 20 is a solid axle but don't know off the top of my head if you can swap disc on. 8.25 swap and a disc conversion is super doable just need access to a welder to re weld the perches.
  14. Short answer yes, but are you wanting to just swap the block or? It's not really just a bolt up and go affair. You're going from renix to HO.
  15. I used to run a thrush welded muffler on my XJ. Had a nice sound but on the trails the drone was annoying. Didn't notice it a lot of the highway, probably because of all the other "sounds". Most all aftermarket mufflers will drone, especially the smaller ones. If you want to eliminate the drone you can add a resonator to help. On my WJ I'll be running a super 50 with the resonator.
  16. Persoanlly, Id find a 8.25 and not bother with a d35 at all. Re weld perches in the correct spot and ditch the boat anchor of the d35 all together. Plus you can find on from a liberty and could add in some rear disk.
  17. I'd go with a silverado. Toyotas are nice but at least in CO they pull a premium. Personally I don't think they are worth it but that's just me. Can't go wrong with a 350 and everything else driveline wise is solid. They are fairly cheap for parts and easy to fix. Dodges are nice but depends on the years.
  18. Hahaha. I just lol'd. Never I have heard truer words about walmart...... I agree about asking questions here for other platforms tends to get a better response. Feel CC has a solid group of peps that know a thing or two.
  19. Your best bet might be the $#!&show of jeep forum........ IMHO that is one of the worst forums I've ever been on. Not only does the site plain suck, you get bombed by ad's and it's just not user friendly but there's a ton of dumbasses. Lot's of bad info that get's put out there.
  20. I just want to know where in CO they snagged that thing for $6500..... Everyone else has their clapped out rust buckets they want 5k for
  21. I ended up going with Crown. Cost was a bit more than Moog but a lot cheaper than napa.
  22. Has cavfab fixed there "issues"? Few NAXJA guys haven't had the best luck with them. Slow to ship, exhaust clearance issues, and a crappy bolt up system. One of the bolts contacts the fuel lines. I do see they increased their link thickness and started using JJ before it was some $#!&ty heims. I'd also consider looking at stinkyfab and ironman, they have some awesome 3/4 link kits. Will be interested to see how everything progresses.
  23. HAHAHA........yeah I'd say it's pretty damn close
  24. With tons I'd run 37s+. Up to 40s on tons and you'll be in decent shape with out breaking stuff too often. What are you planning to do suspension wise?
  25. It's a common swap with XJ's. Here's some links https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/jeep-hardcore-tech/1363937-super-duty-axle-swap-questions.html https://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/jeep-cherokee/2031562-totm-radius-arm-suspension.html https://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1141547
