  1. HAHA yep saw that. I did sell it to Trent. If I could have I would have bought it back I would.
  2. Almost too much as my wife would say! Biggest is I coach football, have been doing it for years at the youth level. Would take a new team from 1st-2nd grade coach them all the way to high school and start over. Past two seasons I've been coaching at high school, it's 3A which is a big change from the 5A schools I'm used to. This may be my last season for a bit as we got a lot going on in life, another kid, moving, blah. Love to go camping, been pretty bad about it lately as fire bans have made it a drag. We tent camp and like to get back in the middle of no where. I'm a huge car nut in general and like to work on cars. Don't have the luxury of multiple projects these days (hence picking up a reliable daily) so just have the WJ as my project, MJ is getting put on the back burner for a bit. Also a uber DIY person so always have some project going on somewhere. Most recent was framing our basement to finish it, but now we are moving so stopped working on it.
  3. Oh my.... from the description, "Its a 93 geo metro that has been converted into a dually truck."
  4. We've had it almost a year and just done basic maintenance on it. Cost wise hasnt been any different than anything else really. Fluids can be more only because it takes 8.2 qts of oil. Tcase fluid was $60 a quart, but otherwise nothing that needs to happen that will break the bank. Oil changes are a PITA because of dropping the skid but I've gotten use to it. When we got the GX is was actually cheaper, less mileage and nicer than comparable 4rs. Lexus has the initial upcharge but after that settles down. Interior wise is nicer than Toyota for base features. The tech is outdated compared to some manufactures but isnt a headache. One nice thing is they hold their value extremely well so you aren't getting shafted on depreciation. Reliability in short I trust the GX more than anything else I've ever owned and I've owned a lot. The only close contender is the xB.
  5. Personally, I wouldnt go with anything FCA. Used cars are at a premium right now. My dad has a few friends that own dealerships and they say nothing is coming through auction right now and inventory is limited. I picked up my new daily from UT, cars are cheap there and don't have to deal with rust. Shipping isnt too bad either. Even after a PPI and shipping I'm still 2k under a comparable vehicle in CO. Gx470 or lx470 would be my choice. Reliable, big, awd. My wife got a GX460 and that thing is amazing. Extremely comfortable, plenty of power and capable enough to go offroad. It's too nice to beat up but they are capable. Decent mpg at 20hwy. Other thought would be a highlander or a pilot. Awd and MPG are going to be tough to balance. You'll either have to get something with a turbo and as much fun as they are rarely see them last. Or something smaller like a subi. . Surprisingly the scion xB I got has more interior room than my WJ and the wifes GX. It's also pretty easy to get in and out of. I'm 6'1" and not stick figure. don't feel cramped at all. Not the prettiest but I'm sick of working on a daily and spending a fortune on gas.
  6. Now he's down to $3500. If I could I would get it back. Truly is a great MJ, was my daily for a bit.
  7. haha, I mean it is a thing though. Not going to happen in my lifetime but for someone out there....
  8. Haha, yeah my wife is already like that thing is ugly, and I told her yes it is but for once in our relationship can you give me credit for choosing a practical vehicle. It's safe relaible and get good gas mileage. Compared to every other vehicle I've owned this is the most practical one ever. Like ever....... See exactly Pete get's it. Now just to convince the wife...... I did dip towards the darkside, but few things that popped up that I really didnt want to skimp on; safety ratings and MPG. 2007 odyssey for example got dinged on saftey restraints and a "poor" rating, MPG was better than the WJ but not by much. That pig averages about 15mpg surprisingly, but that's mainly heavy highway driving. Not that far off but still wanted something a little higher than 25 hwy. Plus a 5 speed isn't happening in a van. Wasn't needed but I really like my 3 pedals. Especially in the hills.
  9. So purchased a 2012 Scion xB today. It's in St George, UT but price, mileage and everything else was right. 2 owner NV car so no rust, 5 speed, 69k miles for $6300 total. Little bit outside my budget but should be a solid runner. Had a PPI done only issue was a dead battery and leaking shocks. Dealer agreed to replace the battery, not too worried about the shocks and I'll eventually replace them and put a little drop on it. Shop owner mentioned how great these are as they run forever and are comfy to drive. I did drive one a few weeks ago in Denver to get a feel. Surprising big inside and decent get up on go. Did lot's of research before and the xB consistently came to the top, good safety rating, great reliability, decent MPG and high resale. Worst case I don't like I flip it make some cash. Comparable ones in Denver where 9k+ based on mileage. One thing that I really liked (other than a 5 speed) was the back seat room. It's listed as having 38" of leg room along with 41" of head room. My WJ in comparison is 35" leg room and 39" head room. Appreciate the input from everyone.
  10. Thata damn sexy right there. Always loved old caddies.
  11. Ooooooo I'll play....... I do this in my head like just about every minute. First would be my old K5 back or at least a pre 75 with a full convertible Got rep the 80's so another e30 vert Also need to have some american muscle in there. Always liked the 62-63 riviera when done right Need a little something to go Canyon blasting 1M An exocar............because who doesn't want to go 0-60 in under 2 seconds And lastly..... g63 6X6, I'd even settle on a AMG G wagon

    Jeep vs Bronco

    Still a ford and fiat.......
  13. Nope was just the stock rake. I bought it from another CC member, Yellaheep, who had it lowered with blocks. We raised it back to stock and put new coils up front. I then add ACOS because I didnt like the rake. Half tempted to get it back.....
  14. No lift, just used the ACOS to balance out the front rake. Tires where a 29ish IIRC.
  15. Well guess it's up for sale. He swapped in smaller tires and took off the ACOS.... https://denver.craigslist.org/cto/d/berthoud-1988-jeep-comanche-4x4-shortbed/7153467662.html What it used to look like...
  16. Those wheels above do work really well. don't take a lot of time at all.
  17. Yep, would have to be smooth all over otherwise the uneven surfaces will show.
  18. Better off dipping it or just putting monstaliner/similar on. It's not cheap and any dent's will be visible. JK owners are all about it because they're a bunch of mall crawlin weenies....
  19. LOL this is all I can picture
