Its a 2A... The MB had no tailgate and 2 piece windshield. The 2A had a tailgate and the spare tire on the side.

my puke-out had metric threads... It was 10mm x 1.5. back then I couldn't find any cool knobs in that thread so I cut them off and welded a new stud on there.

This varies from state to state and company to company. I wrecked an 88 Ranger.. State Farm totalled it out. I bought it back for $300. I kept my original clear title back. In Illinois, over 7 years old and you can get the clean title back. :agree: i should have made my self a bit clear here in virginia we would get a salvage title if it has been considered a loss, as for how long it stays in a salvage status :dunno: once the vehicle gets a "salvage title" it will always have one unfortunantly. Or until you go through one of the various processes (either legal or illegal) to get a clean title. Yup... In Illinois.. you can get it converted to a clean title. But it is quite the process... you have to have receipts for every part needed to get it good again, and have it inspected. Plus some other things.. then the Sec of State police come out put a new VIN plate on it and you get a clean title.

Those running boards have to go if you get that up here. All they do is collect crud, crap and water and will lead to the rockers rusting out. Don... That is really clean for a truck of that age up here. That's about the amount of rust you would see in year or two if it lived in the north...

There is no 'plug and play' set-up for your Comanche. You are going to have to splice the taillight wires to get lights for the trailer plug, and wire the 4 wires on the brake controller itself in. Each controller is a little bit different, the instructions will tell you how to wire the individual wires on it. But normally a blue wire is the brake signal to the trailer. You will have to run that one from the controller to the 7-pin plug. Just follow the wiring diagram on E-trailer. 7-pin flat, is also called 7-pin RV. There was pre-wired trailer tap available for our trucks at one time. You unplugged the tail light harness on the left side and plugged it into the tap.. then plugged the tap into the cross harness. This gave you a 4-pin plug. But it was a easy job to take that and wire it into the 7-pin RV with the diagram on E-trailer. I have no idea if they are still available now.

There are 29 varieties of poison ivy. Only about a third have the classic 'leaves of three'. A oatmeal poultice will draw the crud out of you and reduce swelling. But it will make a holy mess when it dries. Just mix up old fashioned oatmeal and spread it on the affected areas. It will dry and pull the crud out, also it soothes the itchy dry skin.

I have State Farm. And they have been VERRRYYYY good to me. Even with my wife trying to get herself a new van one deer collision at a time, my rates are still very low. I am much older than you and married so that really helps. I drive my lifted Jeep to the agent at times, he has seen pictures of my wheeling Jeep laying on its side at Cliff's. They have never said two words to me about my Jeep being lifted or any modifications I have done to them...

And here I am thinking of cleaning out my basement... and getting rid of my NES, games and Sega Saturn...

Maryland Historic tags are $51 for two years. Plus you can get model year tags and run those if you can find some. They are at 20 years... Just about the only good thing I found when researching moving out there.

You have cruise control??? That is the 'football' for cruise control models. There is another one that is round, about the size of a softball that will work for no cruise models.

Yes.. you can tell from the vin on an 86. The eighth position of the VIN will have an F,G,H, or J.

Did they actually cut louvers into a halfway decent tailgate???

High capacity oil filter for RENIX
whowey replied to RockRodHooligan's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Show them the cardboard anti-drainback valve. That is usually all it takes. Even the biggest Fram Fan Boi has a real hard time justifying that. Off-hand... do you know the output capacity of a 4.0l oil pump? That over sized filter has a smaller GPM capacity. -
I wonder how low the per-unit profit is on the Mazdas?? I have heard stories from friends working on combined brand dealerships is that the Jap and Korean cars are VERY low for per unit profit and suck even worse for per service margins, so combined dealers don't want to carry them. I was told its the reason you see all the really young, or lousy salespeople on those brands, the folks with some experience or ability get onto vehicles that they will be able to make some commissions on. Its too bad your ownership won't pay for the training. But in the end they are the ones losing out. You are going to make your pay whether you are working on Mazdas or Chrysler. Its his dealership revenue that will suffer.

The idea came out great. I understand trying to hide the roughness. But being flat black it almost looks like primer. A gloss color would be great, or the pioneer hockey sticks....The rubber trim would be awesome.

Holy Moly... I am glad you don't have the super signature anymore...

Nope... but I see the price list is back on their site.

I didn't see any problems with that little hole... the problem is just to the left...

Thank you very much for illustrating my point. Colorado has a BIG natural gas economy.. so of course its more popular with CO residents... T Boone Pickens is up to his neck in the NG industry.. Big surprise! he is going to push a fuel source that is going to benefit him...

Not for low concentration blends. 20-25% is the number generally foisted by oil company 'research' against using high concentration blends..like E85. We could spend a week and a day debating this number anyway. DOT used it as part of a worse case scenario to prepare people for it. For me the mileage loss is around 12-16% depending on the time of the year in my FFV. Of course living in Illinois lots of time the price spread can be 25-40%, so I still come out way ahead. 3-4% is much closer to the truth for low concentration blends like E10 or E15. Most of the midwest has been running them for 20+ years without even knowing it. You will notice a bigger change in MPG with the switch from Summer blends to Winter blends, than you will going from E0 to E10. It always seems to be someone from an area with a HUGE oil economy that wants to claim foolish numbers. Like I posted before... lets see some legit numbers showing 20-25% on low concentration blends.
