Now here is a question... are they at KOH today???? If they are closing, they took some serious steps to preserve their reputation. They reduced inventory, and obviously stopped taking raw material in, reduced restricted cash. To me this says they aren't planning to disappear from the market.

Grant Steering Wheel - wiring??
whowey replied to ParadiseMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That shiny metal sticker was my culprit when I put my Grant in. I had to put in a jumper to get the horn to work. and the included button never would stay in tight and kept falling out. -
You can call it a ham sandwich... doesn't change the fact its easier to do when noone is bugging you. And the more serious the reason you are doing it... the more thorough it is. Bankers and accountants want to know what 'EXACTLY' is in a place when they are deciding whether they are going to refinance a company or not. I've worked on some due diligence inventories that were relatively lax.. and others where we had to count individual bolts in maintenance supply rooms. I'm not saying this isn't something serious going on with them, but there may be a heck of a lot more going on than is being publicly said by them currently.

I'm guessing none of you guys have ever been on the grunt end of a reorganization or buy-out??? It's fairly typical for a business to close or really cut back operations for a few days minimum at a certain point in something like this. The accountants have a hard time counting stuff when its moving around. Its easier and quicker to stop everything... shipments in and out, payments in and out, paying payroll, etc. than it is to try and keep track of which things are included under the old rules and what is included in the new rules...

Gotcha.... actually I have to go to church on Sunday also. It's Scout Sabbath and the Methodist Church being our charter organization wants the boys to come and do something at the service.

I'll be out for moral support at the least. Noon, Brent??? Little late for you to be starting the day. Least Rob won't complain about how early you like to get going on stuff. :rotf:

I actually have a court of honor to attend in another month. One of my Cubs has already finished his Eagle. It's only two years since he crossed over.

Just the '87-'90 Wrangler with the 4.2L AMC I6 coupled with the Pukegoat 5-speed. There's a reason that the '91YJ is the most sought "angled" rollbar YJ - it got the Chrysler H.O. 4.0L with proper fuel injection and the AX-15. Its JP... if its not a Wrangler with a Chebby in it.. it sucks in their opinion...
-
They mention something negative about a Wrangler... they will probably have to fire themselves...
-
There is one on the 5.2 in the ZJs. Its a pain to mess with because you can barely see it let alone get a good luck to work on it.

For you no.. it won't make a difference. In your thread on premium fuel, you say you are using ethanol blended fuel. So your injectors will already be as clean as they will get. The ethanol does the same thing cleansing wise.

As much as I love both my V-8 Jeeps.... I wouldn't want either in my MJ.

Its a load of crap.. IF his tune-up and synthetic oil caused an increase of 3mpg, or 18%, he had some neglected maintenance going on. Makes you think of some unanswered questions.... A. Where is he REALLY getting his fuel? If he is so focused on the price, he is not going to be as concerned about the quality of the fuel or its components. B. Location, Location, Location.. Where is he driving at?? Is he in a location that uses winter blends, or anti-smog blends? C. Human nature... Whether he likes to admit it or not, if he really is trying to adopt hyper-miler behavior then changing his driving style will go ALOT longer than dumping a solvent in your tank. D. Acetone is a strong solvent. It will dissolve crud in your fuel system.. Including you injectors.. Since he admits it(without admitting it) that he has neglected maintenance on his car and most likely buys whatever the cheapest fuel is, how dirty was his fuel system and injectors?? E. What time of year is it?? temperature and humidity changes effect the operation of a car alot more than people like to think.

:clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Thanks guys... I needed this thread today... I came to read Sam's b*@$£, moan and whine thread... and got a BC discussion... Noone got all asshatty, or overly whiny... Not one but two mods post.. and neither is warning anyone of anything. And even our CC trolls have kept themselves out of it. Nice to see there is room for "garage discussions" on the net...

So you can park it in your garage, never do anything with it and sell it like the last one???

synthetic tranny fluid for the peugeot tranny
whowey replied to Kenbob's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
No problems with using synthetic in a Pukey... You will notice easier shifting in the cold weather with a synthetic over a dino. A Pukey does not have yellow metal synchros so that is a non-concern.
