  1. That has to be TIGHT for Peter. He is tall enough to make Rob look normal...
  2. Wish I could.. but this week is really packed for me.
  3. Besides the fact it doesn't look all that great... keep chinese manufactured stuff in China. The MJ was truck designed in the 80's.. its supposed to look like one.
  4. I never realized this was the thread I helped hijack earlier.... I'm a manager for a concrete construction products company... If it goes in, on or under concrete we make it, sell it, or lie about it.... Dur-O-Wal was one of our divisions until we sold them to Holman-Bernard this spring. VERY low margins and zero growth in masonry.... And of course I own my Amsoil dealership.
  5. If you are working on M-1's.,.. I find alot of irony in that....
  6. "why did you agree to go on YouTube?" 'cause my lawyer cut a deal.... Let's be serious... This will stop noone from illegally wheeling. IF you were going to do it in the first place.. a 2 minute YouTube video from another moron isn't going to stop you. I wonder if the DNR dressed him up to look the part, or if this his natural state. Because they couldn't have possibly found a more stereo-typical person for the video.
  7. This idea for the win..... Does NY require it to exit at the stock point? I cut the exhaust off short on all my vehicles. To save the work and parts expense on them.
  8. No... AM General was spun off in 1981 as part of the conditions set by Dept. of Justice for Renault buying 49% of of AMC. Just like Chrysler having to sell off their most profitable division(defense products), AMC was forced to part with the one portion of the company actually making money to get the investment. If things had turned out differently...Modern day Chrysler would have had the M-1 Abrams tank program and the HMMWV programs in their defense products line up. That would have been a real game changer economically. Lee Iaccoa at the time said that if he had to do it over, he would have taken Chrysler into bankruptcy and kept the defense products division and the $50 million a year in guaranteed profit it yielded at the time.
  9. Mine is a 90 also. and only has 98k on the odometer. Same type of situation. Original owner bought it as a third/vacation vehicle.
  10. Interior is exactly the same color as my 90 Waggy.... Enjoy rolling down the road on your leather sofa....
  11. The Comanche was the ONLY mid-size truck of its early era... The S-series and Rangers were both mini-trucks at that point.. and the Japanese just built toy trucks at that time.
  12. Cheerleader...errr Mall.. no thats not it.. Trail Rated badges???
  13. Whoa there.... Redline MTL is a GL-4 not a GL-5... RP doesnt offer a GL-4 that I have seen. Redline, Amsoil and a couple of other high end manufacturers offer GL-4 fluids still.
  14. The factory recommended fluid is 75w-90 GL-5 fluid. But from the pictures Correy has of his AX-5 rebuild, it appears to have bronze synchro rings in it. So you would want to run a GL-4 fluid in it. Now if you have the T-5, which I don't think came in '87 then you want to run a Synchromesh type of fluid.
  15. Do you use the MJ to run pilot vehicle???? I'm just trying to figure out a reason behind attaching that thing to the MJ.
  16. Welcome to the fun Reed. You have some VERY local folks to you. Kitch lives in Belvidere. Rob lives over in Harvard and I live out in Ogle county
  17. $28k???? OUUUCCCCHHHHH!! Even though that is in Canuck... that's still ALOT of coin. I could easily afford a bigger truck and camper for that kind of money.
  18. http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/showthread.php?t=123648 What the heck WisCOWsin guys.... holding out on us??

    Idle

First week of August is Day Camp time for me. I will be tied up from Tues. 3rd to Sat. 7th.
  20. Very nice. I really like the use of all of the stock parts from various sources rather than an overload of aftermarket stuff.
  21. If you a bit of searching here, you find that there are some strong opinions on both sides of Rock Road's products and services. My own personal experiences have been pretty negative with them, and I will leave it that.
  22. My 99 Caravan did the same thing... disassembled it all.. lubed and cleaned it all and it has now worked problem free for three or four years.
  23. What?? 2.73's or 3.31's aren't very good???
  24. I have shooting sports training the 3rd and the parade on the 4th. So maybe the 5th if anyday??
  25. It is interesting.... I don't know the answer... I found a tid-bit in the data already collected... Wade's 89 eliminator is less than 50 serial numbers from the 89 eliminator Rob found in the JY.
