  2. I have this tool too and it works great.
  3. And they usually have a 5% discount code floating around. Also ebay and amazon. Here's the part numbers for your tie rod, tie rod ends, and draglink. This includes the Grand Cherokee ZJ V8 tie rod which is a bit thicker than the stock MJ/XJ one: MOOG DS1312 MOOG DS1238 MOOG ES2079S MOOG ES3096L Ball joints: Spicer 40583, 40916 Take a look at your control arms and track bar as well. If you want a HD replacement that won't break the bank, check Core4x4. I personally found this to be the most economical route for higher quality components without spending too much. Click the link in my signature to see these parts installed on my MJ.
  4. I recently acquired a LWB frame & bed, but it's missing some hardware. I need the "C-shaped" shims that go between the bed and the frame was well as those bolts. Also a LWB spare tire winch. And a wiring harness, full would be nice but I need at least the wiring for the taillight sockets/bulbs. Chime in with anything else you can think of, the bed and frame were pretty stripped, except for a few bed bolts and hardware for the shocks. Thanks.
  5. No, and I didn't ask. Only MJ/XJ parts I saw left were a hood and some front fenders, nothing rare or fancy.
  6. Ended up paying $600 for the bed, camper, frame, springs and tail lights? How could I say no!
  7. Took it all home yesterday. Thanks for the find guys!
  8. Finally got around to pulling off the Cherokee door trim and decals. Heat gun, Goof Off, and a lot of elbow grease was needed but they came off clean. I wish a had the money for a proper auto body job, but until then I'll be rocking the multiple colors and dents.... Decided to give my rig a little personality with these badges I found on ebay. I have some smaller ones on the fenders too. My radiator developed a tiny pin hole leak where the passenger side tank met the cooling fins. Decided to dust off that Mishimoto (MMRAD-XJ-89) box I've had around and install a new radiator. I got this as an open box special, and found that it was missing the fitting from the neck to the overflow. Not to mention the threads in the radiator neck were completely trashed. Ended up drilling the hole out larger and tapping it to 1/8" NPT and put an 1/8" barb in there instead. It's a really nice radiator, but I expected a bigger temperature drop. I think it lowered temps by 5*, motor seems to averaging around 200-210* now. I forgot to mention that last month I fixed my Part-Time 4WD light that didn't work after the front axle swap. If I known it was this easy I would've done it years ago. Write-up here: The suspension lift has settled about 1/2" the last few months, but I'm still sitting about 3" higher in the back. I considering swapped out my new metric-ton springs to pair of stock 3+1 springs I was going to rebuild, then I realized the payload capacity on the metric-ton springs is about 600lbs higher than the regular springs. So I went down to the rock quarry and loaded the bed with one ton of gravel. I'm going to leave it over the weekend before I spread it on my driveway to see if that helps it settle some more.... Man I really missed having a pick-up truck bed for jobs like this!
  9. Thanks. I hate it.
  10. That's what mine has. That rig even looks similar to mine.
  11. Theres a set available on the For Sale forum right now.
  12. That "looks" like it. Runs jumper from it to a ground, turn your rig on and see of the dash lights up. If it does then follow these instructions.
  13. Theres a few on ebay, search "jeep header emblem".
  14. The Fey/Westin 63000 bumper is $176 on amazon right now FYI.
  15. Get the McGard brand ones, they're the OEM for many brands. Best lug nuts I've ran as well. https://mcgard.com/product/chrome-cone-seat-wheel-lock-set-1-2-20-thread-size-set-of-4-locks-and-1-key/?vehicle_year=1989&vehicle_make=Jeep&vehicle_model=Comanche&vehicle_category=
  16. When the vibes happen can you speed up and "outdrive" them? If so I'd say your tires need balance and/or replacement. If the vibes get worse I'd be looking at steering and suspension. What are the specs of your rig, stock? Lifted? Tire size? Etc.
  17. Thanks man, and thanks for the support!
  18. Yup. You can see in this pic I took today that the air pressure is a little high by the tire wear. Ill dial it in soon.
  19. 35psi. I had a set of 10+ year old BFG MTs that were on my XJ that neglected to get rotated often and saw quite a bit of offroad use. Then one went flat and an even older Goodyear MT/R was put into the mix. The tires were then moved onto my MJ has temporary measure.
  20. I like the way you have yours set up on the fender and the brackets for the bottle and the vacuum football. May have to steal your idea....
  21. Someone got some new shoes! 15x8 Quadratec Baja wheels with 33x12.50R15 Procomp AT Sport tires. Made a big difference in ride and vibes, especially coming from some cupped MTs. Welded up a stainless exhaust tip, Jones PAC214SS with an angled cut. And built a cupholder out of a mini-console. Details here:
  22. I can't take full credit for the idea because I saw someone else on the board do it years ago, but here's a little write-up in case you want to do the same. You will need an MJ/XJ mini floor console like pictured. You'll want to cut out the coin tray and a bit off the top. Enlarge the rectangular cut out to 9.5" Using the console as a template, I made a smaller bracket out of 1"x1" angle. Cut two 1" wide pieces, then welded them up at 2 1/16" high. Tapped a hole in one side for the console mount, then drilled a hole on the other end and used a self-tapper to secure it to the floor. Find yourself a 5" wide plank of wood. I used a piece of patagonian rosewood cut down to 10". I really liked the grain this hardwood had, and with some staining I was able to get kind of close to the color of the dash. It was also on sale at my local Woodcraft store. The cupholders I decided to use I got off amazon, they were pretty cheap, under $10 for the pair. They're stainless and made for boat/marine applications. Use a 3-3/4" hole saw to cut your holes. Measure once, cut twice, or something. Sand your life away and stain. After staining and applying a poly finish I silicone sealed the wood to the console, clamped it all into place and let it sit overnight. Screw your new cupholder console to the floor mounts. Drop in your cupholders. These cupholders are nice because they hold smaller cans/bottles, as well as larger bottles/tumblers, and came with a nice rubber pad and drain plug on the bottom. Still have enough room to open the ashtray too! The End.
  23. @krustyballer16 builds OEM style hitches for our trucks. @ghetdjc320 makes replacement switch covers in multiple configurations.
  24. I think at this point you should back it up to a tree, put a strap around the tree and your rear axle, drive forward a tiny bit to "pull" the axle rearward to correct your shackle angle. Then throw 1000lbs of stuff in the bed and leave it for a week.
  25. Does this kit use a different brake switch than what is already there? I ask because I did the 96 brake booster upgrade and used a GM brake switch instead.
