  1. Vortex gun? Yep. One air hook up. Cold air shotout one side of it and hot air out the other.
  2. Okay Smartypants, do you remember the tool for cooling down and heating up the choke elements on the carbureted vehicles? Hooked to an air hose.
  3. It's where they belonged.....LOL.
  4. You win the internet cookie. We had one old service rep that called it the darby.......
  5. O2 sensor reading capability is worth it's weight in gold. NGK 23553
  6. The O2 sensor should be switching VERY quickly from .1 to 4.9....... I have the DRB factory tester. If this $80 tool works, and I believe it does, it would be a boon to Renix owners. Anyone know what DRB stands for?
  7. 63 come April.....

  12. The kit comes with the bulbs for shifting indicators like trans and transfer case. Also some for the lighted switches like Power/Comfort switch, rear wiper/washer, foglights. so, you will have a few leftovers.
  13. Got these as a kit from onewaylight.com All the legwork is done by them. Packaged nicely and work great.
  14. I just got a set from him. Nice. He even includes a diagram.
  15. Yep. Easiest to just do this. All the work of re-wiring etc is not worth the minimal gain: http://cruiser54.com/?p=100 HO myth buster Renix in 90 made 182 HP. HO in 91 made 190 HP. That's 8 HP difference. HO only made more HP than Renix at higher RPMs and not a bit more torque. HO had a 58 mm throttle body versus a 52 mm throttle body on a Renix. That’s 20% more air available through the HO throttle body. The HO also had a better design header. See where I'm going with this? It’s only a 4% horsepower increase….. The whole 8HP was not mostly from the head, but from the bigger TB and better exhaust manifold. Put a 60mm TB from www.strokedjeep.com on your present manifold using the Renix head, eliminate the "crush" in your headpipe with proper re-routing, and go for it. HO stands for Highly Overrated. __________________
  16. Go to www.cruiser54 and complete Tips 1 through 5. How do the plugs, wires, cap and rotor look?
  17. MT ECU won't kick it 50 rpms for the PN function. And you know that how? Old AMC days. I'll buy that!! so the moral of the story is still stick with the auto trans ecu? Not a huge deal either way.

  20. Just be sure the "new" ECU has the original 90 part number on it. do you know the part number? and i don't see new ones they are all re mans See post 35.

  22. Here's your answer. Use either ECU. It is plug and play. I've used auto ECUs in manual trans applications and manual trans ECUs in automatic trans applications. The only thing I've noticed, and you might not, is the idle stability after a cold start and dropping the auto in Drive very quickly. The manual ECU isn't quite as forgiving.
