  1. How do you know? Ever look at them using an A/F meter over varied conditions? A culmination of in the field results from a large sampling of people who tried 710s and settled on 746s.
  2. My TCU is the rev limiter.....4800 RPM
  3. What year is it? In case it is 90 or older, here's something for ya: http://cruiser54.com/?p=68
  4. Yes, but Renix likes 746s.

  7. O2 sensor? You're sure about that?
  8. Good point. And check your throttle body to MAP sensor hose.
  9. I would upgrade to the 746 Volvo injectors and test the connectors now for voltage. You can use a test light or voltmeter. Just probe the "colored" wire at the plug.

  14. A few years ago, I ran into a guy in my town who worked at the engine factory. He told me about the nickel content. As for the VAMs, they had a 282 cubic inch that we never got. I wonder if that is the Mexican block we've heard of. Don, the yellow truck had the Mexican block FWIW.
  15. Grand child photo with LEDs vs halogen reverse lights. That 4.5 year old also did the camo paint job on the little trailer.
  16. I have done it on old Jeeps to the tune of 20 plus times. Doesn't break. Lower the steering column if you're skeered.
  17. Me three.
  18. Welcome fellow Arizonan. It should be a J10. By 1980, Jeep had been fully updated by AMC, who bought them in the early 70s. Honcho was a trim package but still a J10. Below are a few links that will help you. They're GREAT trucks by the way. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Gladiator#Jeep_Truck_1971-1988 http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f57/
  19. I ordered a set and installed them on my 90 MJ. After seeing the results, I ordered 2 more sets for my other Jeeps. Thanks Don!!!!!
  20. Best cam for what you want from Chad Golen at Golen Engines: Comp Cams 68-232-4 ,
  21. Just as important, or maybe more so, is which filter you choose. There's some real junk out there. Orange and other colors. Wix only for me.
  22. why am I not surprised that you got a perfect one the first time? Thanks for driving that point home. Those tools have been rented by guys that could mess up an anvil with a rubber mallet. You forgot the guys who could bend a digging bar in a sand pile. Same sub species.......
  23. Did you get the lines with the booster/master? They're flexible.....
