  1. Tapered pipe threads are supposed to be that way. No leaky, that's just fine and will not affect performance in any way, shape, or form. As for accuracy, who knows how accurate some cheapie chinese made gauges are gonna be? I think you need to install a factory thermostat if you haven't already.
  2. Cluster swap is very easy.......
  3. why am I not surprised that you got a perfect one the first time? Thanks for driving that point home. Those tools have been rented by guys that could mess up an anvil with a rubber mallet.

  5. That, and also pulling through spaces so you will be headed out when it's time to leave.
  6. That's a tall order these days. As my Dad used to say. "Most folks don't know enough to pour piss out of a boot if it was upside down and the directions were on the heel."
  7. I just ordered a set based on Hornbrod's suggestion.
  8. I live where there are no street lights. I'm considering these, but am inclined to go with flush mount units in the bumper.
  9. Go drive it.
  10. Welcome Mark.
  11. you should have suggested that to me last weekend lol. Not my week to babysit you. LOL.
  12. Unplug the CPS. crank it over til you have oil pressure. Reconnect CPS and fire it off.
  13. Hydraulic? why? What?everywhere I've read on the internet says that the hydraulic ones are the way to go if you have the cash (300$) perfect flares each time apparently. I doubt I ever will need the tool often enough to justify that, but it would be nice to one day have. Just haven't liked my experience with the manual ones so far haha Totally unnecessary. A GOOD regular one is all I've used for years/ But, only I have used it. Even the cheapie Hobo Freight one works great for the average guy. Keep in mind the ones you used had likely been used by many folks who could bend a digging bar is a sand pile or messed up an anvil with a rubber mallet.
  14. Hornbrod does. As do many other members here. Best to take a back seat and listen if you are not sure of how things work.
  15. Get it all sorted out and it will be under "Helpful links" on my website if that is okay with you.
  16. If it is an airtex pump I wouldn't be surprised if it is bad. The hose inside the tank can also fail....
  17. And the ground... http://cruiser54.com/?p=249
  18. Get a regular old generic overflow bottle. Let someone else enjoy the aluminum one.
  19. It's likely all in the gearing as others have stated. The throttle body is certainly not a choking point on a renix. It will flow enough for me to point my speedo needle straight down. But, I'm on 235s and 3.55 gears. I do advocate using the 60mm Renix throttle body from www.strokedjeep.com, but save that for later.
  20. That's a knock sensor.
  21. It is when the grand daughter is here. I can relate. I've made my granddaughters a swing and a swinging monkey bar from stuff around the yard.
  22. Is that your playset in the background? I love the bench!! I have a crusty tailgate that I want to use as a bench with a door on each side.....
  23. Or dirty socket, or funky harness connector. http://cruiser54.com/?p=35
