  1. Heavy duty transmisions cooler and temp gauge, a good temp gauge to keep an eye on the transmision at all times dual diaphragram booster out of an WJ, it doesnt increase the actual braking power but reduces the amount of effort to get full pressure also advisable to upgrade the rear axle to a dana 44 or a 97+ chrysler 8.25 or ford 8.8 out of a v8 explorer, all require some degree of fabbing so i would suggest going straight to the 8.8, beefier and disk brakes out of the box but some spacers or offset rims can easily make up for it if oyu are going to tow, instead of lifting i would suggest adding stronger leaf springs, lifting is more for off roading so you can clear obstacles, not really useful for towing
  2. get another engine, the truck looks good...
  3. oh i thought only the 42rh had it, my bad
  4. the aw4 doesnt have a throttle body cable
  5. being new doesnt mean it won't get hot...
  6. it works fine, most engines can run up to E10 without modifications, some can even go as high as E15, but higher requires a flex fuel ready engine... you main concern would be rust inside the fuel lines
  7. oh that may be the problem, if the cam sensor stops working and the HO doesnt work without it it explains the shutdown...
  8. is the 91+ CPS hall effect type?
  9. How hot has anyone seen a MANUAL transmission get?
  10. its basicly a magnet surrounded by a coil, when it gets hot, it loses its powers...
  11. carry a spray can with water, if it happens again, spray the CPS to cool it, if it starts, it´s the CPS, also when a Coil fail is because gets hot INSIDE, not outside, external heat can gradually enter the core of the coil, hot core equals no spark, and it takes a while to cool down ex overnight, just to be safe, relocate the coil away from the engine block and make sure is properly grounded, a coil with bad ground tends to overheat internally...
  12. probably DOA, how many volts it outputs?
  13. find out which cable is A and B and splice them togehter, the other is just shielding
  14. i always wanted to cut a windows in the firewall where the cps sits so if ever fails it could be changed from inside
  15. weird that a relay AND the Cps went out at the same time, but its fixed so who knows
  16. so you went through all the trouble of changing the cps before testing if it was the culprit what do i tell you
  17. when someone say how do i increase my mpgs i assume they already tuned everything and are runinng stock but if we are to help then - how much extra stuff is you MJ carrying? - is your MJ as aerodinamic as a brick? - dragging brakes? which tires? - is your tranny healthy? does it shift properly? slippage?
  18. not much, lift and big tires is a bad combo for mpgs.... swap a v8
  19. get a couple of efans out of a taurus and wire them thorugh a relay and a switch, i don't know what seaon is yuma arizona right now but i have heard is hot in summer, if so you can take out the thermostat for now, and go with a mix of 50/50 or 30/70 coolant. better save for some funtional hood vents so hot air gets flushed out of the engine bay as you move...
  20. are you sure is not engine oil? transmision oil would not be burn, it could have degraded and look discolored or brown or even whitish but it will definitly look diferent than used engine oil,as for the grinding, dirty oil in the trans would make such noise but if you want to solve the problem get an AX15 and put that BA10/5 where it belongs... the recycle bin
  21. weird that he didnt notice that the cap was not locking in place
  22. 100 is a little on the over tight side
